Miley Cyrus was spotted shopping for baby onesies in Los Angeles on Oct. 14, and we know who the purchases were for, HollywoodLife has EXCLUSIVELY learned. Find out if this confirms she’s expecting!
Miley Cyrus, 25, took a trip to a baby store in Los Angeles on Oct. 14. Oh, you know, just nearly two months after we learned that her and fiancé Liam Hemsworth, 28, would “actually be ready if she got pregnant.” Is that why Miley was seen shopping for mini onesies at the Studio City boutique in Los Angeles this past Sunday? Well, we can end the suspense for you. “Even though Miley was out shopping for baby clothes, she is definitely not pregnant,” a source close to the “Malibu” singer EXCLUSIVELY shares with HollywoodLife. Sorry everyone, Miley was just out shopping with friends! But we do have more details on Miley’s thoughts on motherhood.
“She would love to be a mother one day and she’d be a great one,” our source adds. “She is kind, maternal, sweet and loves kids, but she wasn’t out shopping for herself.” And her abs could’ve answered your pregnancy questions. “Her stomach has never been flatter,” our source goes on. “She is in great shape right now and not focused on starting a family at this time.” But it’s hard to see them, as Miley’s been out of the spotlight with an Instagram feed that’s wiped clean and rare appearances in public. And there’s an exciting reason for that!
While the singer herself is deep in the midst of a self-imposed social media freeze that began on July 4, she’s still managed to go viral—or at least a 10-year-old photo of her has. A straight-on portrait of the singer taken from the 2008 Grammy Awards has suddenly captivated both Twitter and amateur Photoshop users, and Cyrus’s face is being edited onto the visages of other icons as varied as Marina Abramovi´c and Lady Gaga’s Ally from A Star Is Born. While some do find it funny, it’s not a strictly-for-the-LOLs meme. Reactions have ranged from annoyance to discomfort to, well, confusion, because…why?
Indeed, Cyrus’s face has been transposed onto so many different things that the version that gets you to stop scrolling and consider it probably says a lot about your own interests and the people you’ve chosen to follow. For me, it was the image edited into each and every one of Björk’s nine album covers, followed quickly by one of Abramovi´c (“The Cyrus Is Present,” if you will), because, well, sometimes your assumptions about the type of people who work at W are true.
Months ago in July, Miley Cyrus fully erased her Instagram and made her avatar black. It was a move that other artists, including Taylor Swift and Zayn Malik, had made to announce to fans that a new era of music (or more literally, a new album) was coming. But Cyrus didn't unveil any new singles days after purging her social media accounts.
She left her accounts untouched up until this past month, and she gave no hint of new music coming until this morning. Cyrus posted a video of a broken heart to her Instagram and Twitter, tagging songwriter, DJ, and record producer Mark Ronson. She captioned it, "11/29," so there's your big music drop date.
Following her most recent album release "Younger Now" last September, Miley Cyrus got the hell out of dodge and went silent on all of her social media platforms and was abruptly absent from the spotlight. Rumors began swirling about what exactly the pop enigma was up to, but the larger wonderment her giant and loyal fan base were facing was: Where in the world is Miley Cyrus?
Miley Cyrus recently announced her third collaboration with apparel brand Converse. The new collection features 25 festive vegan pieces, including velour sweatshirts, platform sneakers with star-emblazoned soles, velvet shoes and tracksuits, glitter bodysuits, and an animal-free puffer jacket made from satin. “Converse x Miley Cyrus is a celebration of individuality and fearlessness to stand out in the crowd,” Converse described the line.
“This bold and confident collection allows fans to piece together the head-to-toe kit that works with their unique style.” Cyrus first collaborated with Converse in May on a 38-piece gender neutral collection that features the musician’s hand-drawn designs made to appeal to people of all body shapes and sizes.
In June, Converse debuted a second collection—featuring rainbow-hued platform sneakers and bright festival-wear—designed by Cyrus to celebrate Gay Pride Month. On Friday, Cyrus announced her new single “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” (a commentary on gun violence) on Instagram—her first post since scraping her account earlier this year.
