One day after Fatone blasted the Backstreet Boys' recent tour and said the boy-banders did it just because they needed money, Carter took to Twitter to respond to the 'N Sync star's diss. "Just disappointed, I really liked joey..." Carter wrote earlier today. He added, "I'm proud of who we are and love what we stand for. Truthfully its about not letting our fans down. Sorry bro but you have us all wrong." The recently married star finished his response with, "Now let me go back to enjoying my Honeymoon." Fatone's diss happened during an interview with Huffington Post this week. "All these other groups and bands said that we will never tour again and you see New Kids On The Block tour and stuff like that," he said. The interview then brought up the Backstreet Boys' recent tour and Fatone joked, "I feel like they just need the money," before quickly adding, "No offense guys!" Fatone also shot down the possibility of another 'N Sync reunion. "At this moment in time is anything gonna happen? Absolutely, 100 percent no...at this moment," he said.

Back off haters ... Avril Lavigne's controversial "Hello Kitty" music video is NOT racist, and she's actually being hailed as a cultural hero -- at least according to Japanese officials ... TMZ has learned. The video was posted briefly on YouTube before it was pulled down -- allegedly because it was released early, not because of its content -- but all the same it quickly generated outrage on social media. Peeps at the Japanese Embassy in Wash. D.C. are pretty chill about it though ... telling us they believe Avril "had only good intentions when making the video." The spokesman added ... they "would be happy if the discussions surrounding her song and music video results in more people discovering the beautiful and rich culture of Japan."

Hey, remember back in the day when All Saints ruled the charts with their sexy long-layered haircuts and midriff tops and they represented a grown-up, trans-Atlantic sensibility that slightly worried our parents as we switched from the Spice Girls' lipgloss and lilac eyeshadow to a 'smokey eye' that was actually just a big old mess. But of course, the aggressively highlighted hair and shoddy eyeliner wasn't the biggest takeaway from the All Saints package. No. That was the combat trouser. The combat trouser reigned supreme. The combat trouser had pockets enough to make sure you never needed to carry a bag, even though it meant your 3210 would be knocking round your knee like a particularly rectangular stone. The combat trouser and All Saints are entirely inextricable in our brains. So we are very disturbed to see that there is not one combat trouser on show in these pics of All Saints supporting Backstreet Boys on their tour. Not a one.
