Avril Lavigne is reportedly headed back to Japan later this summer. Since the country was among the first to adopt the Canadian singer’s musical stylings, Lavigne makes it a point to give her Japanese fans plenty of love. Although she already spent some quality time in Japan earlier this year, it would appear that Avril is coming back around before the year wraps up. In a recent post on Twitter, Avril Lavigne revealed that she’s scheduled to perform two shows at Summer Sonic 2014 in Osaka, Japan, towards the middle of August. The event will also feature appearances from the Arctic Monkeys, Phoenix, the Pixies, Robert Plant, and Queen, among many others Tickets are currently on sale, so start making travel arrangements as soon as possible. It’s obvious that Avril Lavigne truly appreciates her fans in Japan. Although she loves everyone who supports her career, she definitely seems to have a serious crush on the people who embraced her work early on.She recently told The Hollywood Reporter: “In Japan, the audience is always in sync together. If you ask them to clap, they all clap. If I start fist pumping, they all fist pump with me. It’s pretty cool. In between every song, they stop and they’re quiet because they’re so respectful. Then if you play a fast song, they all start rocking out, and the minute you’re done, they stop… In China, the show starts, and everyone in the bleachers comes running down to the front and everyone’s tripping over each other and it’s rowdy, mayhem. It’s craziness.”

Nick Cater is hospitalised with severe bronchitis and he tweeted the following message...@nickcarter: So sorry that couldn't do the show today in somerset UK. I was in the hospital with severe bronchitis, trying to get well. Wish I was there. But the absence of the Backstreet Boys meant an extended headline set from McBusted.

Avril Lavigne is reportedly experiencing 'health issues'. The Complicated singer - who is married to Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger - hasn't been seen in public since September. Apparently she has told a Twitter fan that she is unwell with an undisclosed problem. In a direct message to AvrilMusicChart, she wrote on Sunday, 'I feel bad because I haven't been able to say anything to the fans to let them no why I've been absent. 'I'm not feeling well. I'm having some health issues. So please keep me in your prayers. (sic)' Though Avril hasn't commented on her problems or confirmed the legitimacy of the messages, she publicly responded to the Twitter account after they sent well wishes, writing simply: 'thank you.' The Girlfriend hitmaker's health woes come a few months after speculation her marriage to Chad - who she married in July 2013 - was in trouble. However, the This Is How You Remind Me rocker later laughed off the reports, which were fuelled when he missed Avril's 30th birthday party. However, he admitted even his family had worried about the status of their relationship. The 39-year-old rocker said: 'You know my dad calls me up and he's just like, "I haven't slept in two days, what's going on?" I'm like, "Dad you're not buying all this c**p are you?" 'You know, I get to hear all the rumour mill stuff. So it's, it's...I find it very amusing.'

They’ve been in business for 22 years, and are the best-selling boy band of all time, moving over 130m albums worldwide. And the Backstreet Boys had some words for today’s hottest boy group, One Direction, when they appeared onThe Today Show on Tuesday. ‘They don’t need much advice; they’re obviously doing quite well,’ A.J. McLean said, while joined by band members Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Kevin Richardson, and Brian Littrell. 'I would just say just stay on your own path.' He added, 'We’ve just stuck to doing what we love to do: great pop music, having fun and loving what we do.’ One Direction is comprised of Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson. The Backstreet Boys made an appearance on The Today Show to discuss their new documentary, Backstreet Boys: Show 'Em What You're Made Of. The project hits theatres in the US on January 30 and in the UK on February 26. Brian commented upon the ‘raw’ and ‘transparent’ recount of the group’s development through the years. ‘I think it’s been super important for all of us to be as real, as open as we can be. Backstreet Boys are never about really covering up. ‘We share with the world what happens. We all share ups and downs, trials and tribulations, and I think that makes us stronger as a group.’
