Popsinger Harry Styles turned on the charm at the Friends Arena in Solna by screaming in Swedish that he loves meatballs, but some critics were not impressed with the quintet's performance. One Direction frenzy has gripped Stockholm for much of the week with thousands of fans camping outside the stadium in advance of the group's double header of shows. "Jag älskar köttbullar. Vi älskar dig" (I love meatballs. We love you), said Styles to the delirium of the 46,770 sell out crowd. He also declared his love for meatballs during last year's Stockholm shows (video below). There's many ways we imagine Harry Styles could celebrate a great gig in Sweden, and this time he chose to dig out a hat and turn his charm on. The singer was snapped in Collage Nightclub in Sweden on Friday night looking really cosy with a mystery woman, after he stormed the stage with his bandmates once again as part of their Where We Are tour. The pair were hugging and laughing together, and cheeky Harry even appeared to give his blonde companion a kiss on the cheek. She is thought to be either Danielle or Nicole Kahlani, a hair and make-up duo who have worked with 5 Seconds of Summer and more stars, and friends with beauty pro Lou Teasdale.

One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson is the new co-owner of English soccer club Doncaster Rovers. The team plays in the so-called League One, the soccer league two levels below the top-flight English Premier League. Financial details weren't disclosed. The Independent reported that 22-year-old Tomlinson bought the team together with former chairman John Ryan. Tomlinson, one of the five members of boyband One Direction, is a lifelong fan of his hometown soccer club. Earlier this year, he played for its reserve team against Barnsley. "Although I’m young, I am very ambitious and I really want this club to succeed," Tomlinson said in a statement on the Rovers' website. The takeover was twice delayed because of negotiations over image rights for Tomlinson, the Independent reported. They have now been resolved, the paper said without details being disclosed. The initial snag had related to Tomlinson's image rights, which are owned by his management team and would entitle them to a share of any money generated from the use of his image or name. They believe that interest in the club will increase as a result of Tomlinson's ownership and it is understood they battled for a share of any extra revenue made through merchandise and extra ticket sales. Tomlinson signed on as a player at the start of the season in a move to make money for the Bluebell Wood charity and turned out in front of nearly 10,000 fans for the reserve team in February. By a strange quirk, Ryan has also played for Doncaster, with the then 52-year-old having brought himself on as a substitute in a 4-2 win against Hereford which came after his club had sealed promotion from the Conference in 2003.

One Direction plus Sesame Street equals the most adorable ABCs rendition ever! Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik recently filmed a bit for the famous kids' show. In a clip for their appearance, Harry and Liam sing the alphabet with Bert. The three sing from A to Z before belting out a giant finale with, "Now we know our ABCs, next time won't you sing with meee!" Then all five guys sing their hit song "What Makes You Beautiful" with the lyrics changed into an educational lesson about the letter U. "This letter's U, you know it's true/ it starts some words, there are more than a few," Liam sings before Louis adds, "U starts ‘uh' and ‘ugh' and ‘up'/ U starts ‘udon' there's some in this cup." "Harry chimes in, "Twenty-six letters are in the alphabet/ but we're here to sing about U."

One Direction are nearing the end of their Where We Are tour in Europe this evening and in just a few hours’ time the boys will be taking to the stage four the first of two shows in Madrid, Spain. As has been the case for most of their concerts this year, Australian boyband 5 Seconds of Summer will open for the X Factor stars, with a short 40 minute set. Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Harry Styles will then appear onstage at around 8pm local time to begin their two hour long set. The show will be full of old favourite songs, tunes from their new album, along with a few covers thrown in for good measure. Fans can also expect plenty of hilarity, such as Liam Payne and Niall Horan reenacting scenes from Titanic, or maybe Harry Styles will spit water at them. One never can tell. 2014 has already been an enormous year for One Direction and it could continue to get bigger. Ticket sales on both the primary and secondary markets for their current Where We Are Tour have steadily climbed throughout the year. As the band is on the verge of ending their European leg of the tour, One Direction is on pace to reach record touring numbers. The tour could end up sitting among the company of the top grossing per show tours like U2’s 2009 360 Tour as well as the projected earnings of Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s On the Run Tour. One Direction will more than likely sell out the majority of their North American dates when Where We Are reaches the U.S. and Canada in August. Through the first two legs of the tour in South America and Europe, One Direction tickets have sold out at every venue. From the available numbers from Billboard, those shows have averaged a gross of $5.2 million per show. Such a number places the group’s tour as the second highest gross per show ever, trailing just U2’s 360 Tour, which produced $6.7 million per show. Even if the tour doesn’t continue on that pace when the North American dates start in August, there is plenty of wiggle room for the band to uphold the second highest gross per show tour ever. There’s a $2.8 million difference between U2360 and the next tour on the list, The Rolling Stones’ 2005 A Bigger Bang Tour which grossed $3.8 million per show. One Direction’s monumental tour has developed a competition with Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s On the Run Tour, which could also reach the $5 million per show mark by its conclusion in September. According to TiqIQ, the husband-and-wife duo is estimated to gross over $100 million by the end of their 21-show tour across North America, which also includes two dates at Paris’ Stade de France. As the North American leg begins August 1, One Direction tickets currently have an average price of $216.06 on the secondary market. On the Run Tour tickets have an average price of $232.12 for 12 more North American dates scheduled.
