Ariana Grande surprised fans with the release of her Sweetener Tour live album -- K Bye for Now -- after hinting that she'd be leaving them a post-tour "parting gift" Sunday night (Dec. 22). The pop star called the album "a little something to thank u for everything and to make saying goodbye to this chapter a lil easier" in a tweet a few hours before it dropped. Grande announced the live album earlier in the month, on Dec. 11, when she teased its track list and confirmed it was coming before the end of the year. Prior to that, she'd revealed that she was hard at work on the album while on tour and "vocal producing everything myself." The months-long trek on the Sweetener World Tour began on March 18 in Albany, N.Y., and wrapped on Dec. 22 in Inglewood, Calif. The new album spans 32 songs and runs for 90 minutes. Stream it below.

The pop titan dropped "k bye for now (swt live)," a live concert album, hours after her Sweetener World Tour concluded in Los Angeles. http://instagram.com/p/B6Z98_qFdDZ The hits are all here, from recent chart-toppers like "7 Rings" and "God Is a Woman" to quintessential Grande gems "Dangerous Woman" and "Love Me Harder." The 32-track album spans an average night on the Sweetener tour, with some rare guest spots from Nicki Minaj and Big Sean. It's a triumphant end to an often-grueling tour, which began in March 2019 and included shows in North America and Europe. The 26-year-old singer has been open about the challenges she's faced while performing, issuing a letter to fans in July after videos emerged of the singer crying while singing. "I feel everything very intensely and have committed to doing this tour during a time in my life when I'm still processing a lot ... so sometimes I do cry!" she wrote. Grande rescheduled a few tour dates in May and November after an allergic reaction and sudden illness kept her from performing. But she made the dates up and did some good in the process. The Grammy nominee partnered with HeadCount on the tour to register young concertgoers to vote.

As promised, Ariana Grande dropped a live album from her “Sweetener World Tour” just hours after the final date wrapped in Los Angeles. Titled “K Bye for Now (Swt Live),” the singer has been updating fans on the album’s progress over social media for several weeks.
The 32-track album spans songs from all across her career, including hits like “7 Rings,” “God Is a Woman,” “Dangerous Woman” and “Love Me Harder” — and features guest spots from Nicki Minaj and Big Sean.
After dropping two albums in six months, “Sweetener” in August of 2018 and the surprise release, “Thank U, Next,” last February, the singer launched the tour in March and spent much of the rest of this year on it, traversing North America and Europe. At times the tour was challenging and she shared her feelings over the summer after fan videos emerged of the singer crying during a concert.
“I feel everything very intensely and have committed to doing this tour during a time in my life when I’m still processing a lot,” she wrote, “so sometimes I do cry!” she wrote.

Ariana Grande didn’t even make it to the end of her first song at Sunday night’s (Dec. 22) Los Angeles Forum show before breaking down in tears. It’s not hard to understand why. The set -- the second of a two-night stand marking the end of her Sweetener World Tour -- marks the close of a remarkable period in Grande’s life and career. It was her first major outing since the horrific terrorist attack in Manchester in May 2017, but it also coincided with an imperial period in her creativity. Both 2018’s Sweetener, and this year’s follow-up Thank U, Next earned her five Billboard Top 10 hits, six Grammy nods, carried her to a headlining Coachella performance, and established her as an icon. So you can understand her getting emotional at the close of such an astonishing chapter (which is also documented with a just-released live album, K Bye For Now [SWT Live]). “I can’t begin to express how much joy this experience has bought me,” she told the crowd during the show, stopping to give extended shout-outs to her band, crew, and naturally, the ever-loyal Arianators. “This year would not have gone the way it did without you.” The feeling was obviously mutual, as following the finale of “Thank U, Next,” her dancers gifted her a giant bouquet of flowers and enveloped the Florida-born singer in a group hug.
