Mariah Carey is a diva at home, too. A former live-in nanny for the superstar says the “Hero” singer forced her to work grueling 100-hour weeks — and then refused to pay her overtime. In papers filed Wednesday in Manhattan federal court, Simonette DaCosta says she went to work for Carey and her now-estranged husband Nick Cannon in October 2013. “As such, she attended to their needs not only at home, but also during Ms. Carey’s travels for her global concerts and appearances,” the suit states. “She was on call 24 hours a day. She was always at their beck and call,” said DaCosta’s lawyer, Eli Freedberg. The suit says DaCosta “was always behind the scenes and often by Ms. Carey’s side,” either at the couple’s multimillion-dollar homes in Tribeca and California or while jetting off around the world. DaCosta was paid between $6,000 and $7,200 a month for taking care of fraternal twins Moroccan and Monroe but didn’t get overtime — and there was plenty of it. “Plaintiff was on duty during all hours of each 24-hour day with no entitlement for breaks, for meals, and even for sleep. Indeed, Ms. Carey would often call plaintiff at hours in the middle of the night and demand to be taken to her children or to be updated on the status of her children,” the suit says. “Ms. Carey would not tolerate any delay when she called and plaintiff had to attend to her every demand, spontaneous or otherwise.” DaCosta says she did as she was told, and her “job did not involve exercising discretion over matters of significance.” The professional nanny said duties included “feeding, bathing and comforting Ms. Carey’s and Mr. Cannon’s children who were infants and/or toddlers at the time.” The kids are now 3. DaCosta says she was fired last January after Carey berated her “for expressing too much affection for their children.”

She's known for her signature screaming soprano sounds. But on Friday, Mariah Carey was caught lip-syncing her hit single Fantasy during her first-ever performance at the 2015 Jazz And Blues Festival in Jamaica, disappointing fans who paid upwards of $200 to watch her belt out her chart-topping hits. The mother-of-two was noticeably out of breath and failed to hit the high notes as she appeared to have given up halfway through and let the backing track take over the vocals. Mariah tried to keep her composure while roaring in and out of the microphone, specifically while attempting to sing Fantasy. In dramatic fashion, she closed her eyes and placed her hand near her ear as she faked the alto notes and missed her cue multiple times. The beauty tried to make up for her lack of singing by flashing a smile at the audience, but it seems it wasn't enough. This recent lip-sync blunder comes over a month after she was harshly criticized for mouthing the words to her mega-successful holiday hit All I Want For Christmas Is You at the annual NBC special Christmas In Rockefeller Center in December. Mariah showed off ample cleavage in a revealing Roberto Cavalli gown that featured a plunging neckline and sheer panel detailing. She wore her long blonde tresses around her shoulders in loose curls that failed to last throughout her performance due to the humidity. The diva songbird of course added diamond accessories to her look even adding a butterfly shaped ring, her signature emblem.

With Nick Cannon slated to pen a tell-all on their marriage, their divorce has taken a dramatic turn in recent days. But estranged couple Nick and Mariah Carey, 45, put aside their differences to participate in an Easter egg hunt with their twins Monroe and Moroccan on Sunday. In a photo shared by Mariah, Nick, 34, even appeared to place a hand upon his ex-wife's back while hunting for goodies with their three-year-old children. Mariah captioned the snap: 'Happy Easter!!! #ontheegghunt #NYiswild'. The hitmaker was dressed for the big day in a bright pink jacket and matching dress. Mariah clutched a bucket full of goodies, while Nick held onto a pink one and a pair of rabbit ears. Their twin children - who will turn four on April 30 - scampered close beside them, with Moroccan dressed for the occasion with a playful Buzz Lightyear accessory. Mariah appears to have been closely involved in preparations for the big day. The singer, who embraces every holiday with gusto, took to Instagram to prove she was no diva when it comes to 'dem babies'.

After taking a night off to recover from bronchitis on Wednesday, Mariah Carey is allegedly planning to take the stage on again in Las Vegas on Saturday night. According to TMZ, the show would indeed go on for the 45-year-old singer whose Caesars Palace show opened on May 6. The website claims that worried fans have still been calling the resort casino's box office, fearing that another late cancellation would stop the Mariah #1 To Infinity show for a second time. The reports from Caesars insisted that Mariah's doctors had cleared her to sing and that she had attended a rehearsal for Saturday's performance. She did whistle her rehearsal tunes - instead of singing the often-difficult melodies - but that was only to save her voice for later. If she is fit to go on-stage, Mariah is looking at a busy weekend schedule: her Saturday show will be followed by another performance on Sunday, plus a song at the Billboard Awards the same evening. Wednesday's cancelled performance was only Mariah's fourth scheduled show since starting her residency earlier in May. Although additional shows have not been ruled out, fans were only given 18 chances throughout May and June to see Mariah live on the Vegas stage. Consisting of 18 number-one songs from Mariah's long career, Mariah #1 To Infinity is being performed three times per week with tickets priced between $55 and $250. Demand and sold-out shows have meant some fans were paying even more for the experience.

Damion (Damizza) Young slammed the Daily Mail for a story about his reported love affair with Mariah Carey. "I got screwed," he tweeted Sunday about the story that included endless quotes supposedly from Young's memories of his whirlwind romance with Carey in the late '90s. "My apologies to @mariahcarey that was NOT what article was to be about and was NOT my quotes," he wrote. The Mail's story gave in-depth descriptions said to be from Young about Carey's life "inside a bubble," which included jet-setting around the globe with the singer, and seeing first-hand how the world stopped to fulfill her every desire. "I was her producer, her lover, her best friend," Young, 40, supposedly told the Mail for the story published Sunday. "She would not make a decision without talking to me first. I was very much in love with Mariah, I still am." The story, which Young insists is fake, goes on to detail how he met Carey in 1997 when she was going through her first divorce from music mogul, Tommy Mottola, and she asked him to help her keep her diminishing career alive. "She wanted to become relevant again and that meant working with hip-hop artists," he reportedly recalled. "I put her together with Jay-Z."
