The 2020 awards show season continues today, February 2, with the 73rd annual BAFTA awards. And though it’s been a long and busy month for the Hollywood elite, the stars still look as beautiful as they did at the start of it! See Every Time Duchess Kate and Prince William Hit the BAFTAs Red Carpet — and What They Wore Some of the most stylish ladies in the business hit the red carpet at London’s Royal Albert Hall for the British Academy Film Awards. From royals like Kate Middleton and Prince William to starlets including Zoe Kravitz and Emilia Clarke in attendance, it’s no surprise that the elegant event is a super stylish affair. We were especially excited to see what the stars wore on this red carpet after it was announced that the academy was asking attendees to wear sustainable fashion, whether that meant rewearing old looks or buying something from brands like Reformation and Stella McCartney (both of which they recommended). “Sustainability is very important to BAFTA, and we’re doing more than ever before,” a spokesperson Harper’s Bazaar. “The goal is that the EE British Academy Film Awards 2020 will be carbon neutral, working towards having a net positive impact on the environment. From travel and food, to branding and materials, BAFTA is ensuring the awards are as sustainable as possible.”

World War One film 1917 was the big winner at the Bafta Film Awards on Sunday, with seven prizes in total. The trophies for Sir Sam Mendes's movie included best film, best British film, best director and best cinematography. Joker won three awards including best actor for Joaquin Phoenix, while Renee Zellweger was named best actress for her portrayal of Judy Garland. South Korean film Parasite won two prizes - for original screenplay and film not in the English language. There were no major upsets or surprise winners, with 1917 unarguably dominating the evening. "I couldn't be more thrilled," director Sir Sam told BBC News backstage. "There's the personal delight in seeing a story very close to me and my family be developed and enlarged but the massive thing has been audiences going in large numbers. "None of us knew if an audience would turn up, it wasn't certain at all. It's coincided with awards season and the fact this is still number one in the UK after four weeks, [the awards have] really alerted people to the fact the movie is on, it rarely happens like that." Sir Sam is the first British winner of best director at the Baftas since Danny Boyle won for Slumdog Millionaire in 2009.

It is the first time since 1977 that all four of the Bafta awards for acting have been won by Americans. Accepting the leading actress award for her performance in Judy, Zellweger said: "This is very humbling. Miss Garland, London town, which you have always loved so much, still loves you back. This is for you." Zellweger, Phoenix, Dern and Pitt have now won their acting categories at every major ceremony of awards season so far. In addition to their Baftas, they have won at the Golden Globes, the Screen Actors Guild Awards and Critics' Choice Awards. All four are highly likely to triumph at next weekend's Oscars. Joker picked up best original score for its composer Hildur Gudnadottir and the inaugural casting award, which went to Shayna Markowitz. Phoenix took aim at "systemic racism" and "oppression" within the film industry in his acceptance speech. "I feel very honoured and privileged... but I have to say that I also feel conflicted because so many of my fellow actors that are deserving don't have that same privilege," Phoenix said. "I think that we send a very clear message to people of colour that you're not welcome here, I think that's the message that we're sending to people that have contributed so much to our medium and our industry and in ways that we benefit from." His comments follow a row about the lack of diversity among this year's Bafta nominations.

Game of Thrones alum Emilia Clarke, Big Little Lies star Zoë Kravitz and other celebs brought the glitz and glamor to the 2020 BAFTAs, aka the EE British Academy Film Awards, in London on Sunday.
Clarke, who is a presenter at the annual event, sported a spaghetti strap, scoop neck sparkling beaded black gown as she walked the red carpet. Kravitz turned heads herself in a long sleeve, high neck, shining bronze Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello gown.
Other guests included The Crown and Sex Education's Gillian Anderson, Naomie Harris, Lily-Rose Depp, Jojo Rabbit's Rebel Wilson, The Joker's Joaquin Phoenix, Little Women star Saoirse Ronan, and the movie's director and screenwriter, Greta Gerwig.
And, of course, the guests of honor: Kate Middleton and Prince William, president of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.
Clarke had also attended a star-studded pre-2020 BAFTAs party on Saturday.
Graham Norton is hosting the 2020 BAFTAs. The ceremony will take place at Royal Albert Hall in London on Sunday and air on BBC One at 9 p.m. U.K. time, and on BBC America in the United States at 9:10 p.m. ET.

In keeping with the theme, the Duchess of Cambridge opted for a gown that she previously wore to a state dinner in Malaysia back in 2012. Thomas opted for a one-shoulder, floor-length gown with a matching clutch bag, and styled her hair in a half-up do. Eberstein's black and silver dress added a casual look to the red carpet, while Grant kept things simple in a black tux and white shirt. Gerwig sported a velvet green floor-length gown with silver straps.
