Prince George is growing up! The 2-year-old had his first day of nursery school at the Westacre Montessori School in Norfolk, where Kate Middleton and Prince William shared some sweet photos of their son in front of the school's colorful mural on Wednesday. With his blond curls and happy smile, the young royal looked like the spitting image of his father, William, when he was that age. Will dressed in all red on his own first day at the Mrs Mynors nursey school in Notting Hill in 1985, accessorizing with a striped sweater and a supercute Postman Pat thermos. Between the father-son duo's light hair, chubby cheeks, and preference for plaid, these photos could totally be of the same person. Keep scrolling to see how George's adorable first day stacks up to William's, and see their most heartwarming moments!

President Obama and the First Lady have met Prince George at Kensington Palace. In pictures released by Kensington Palace, the Prince thanked the US president for his rocking horse, which he received as a present from the White House when he was born in 2013. The prince was allowed to stay up past his bedtime to meet the US president. The pictures were taken after President Obama and the First Lady had dinner at Kensington Palace with the Duke and Duchess and Prince Harry, as part of their four-day UK visit.

The 2-year-old prince doesn't even know he's a royal yet. Prince William said he and his wife Kate Middleton have not told their two-year-old son Prince George that he is a member of a royal family in a new BBC interview aired on the eve of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II’s 90th birthday. “We are a normal family,” he told the BBC’s royal correspondent Nicholas Witchell. “I love my children the same way any father does, so we are very normal in that sense.” When asked what he thought of critics who think of him as a “slightly reluctant royal” — nicknaming him “work-shy William” — the Duke of Cambridge said being king is “not something that’s at the top of my priority list to think about.” But now that his grandparents will both be in their 90s, he said he’ll be “the first person to put his hand up” and take on more royal responsibilities if need be.

Prince William revealed his secret for soothing a crying baby during the launch of the royal family’s new mental health charity, Heads Together, on Monday, May 16. William, 33, was asked about his adorable kids, Prince George, 2, and Princess Charlotte, 12 months, and what he does when they cry. The royal dad of two — who mentioned that Charlotte wasn’t much of a crier — said that he used to calm George down as an infant by running water. Apparently, the sound would comfort his eldest child. The Duke of Cambridge was joined by his wife, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, and his younger brother, Prince Harry, at the event held at Place2Be in London.

Prince George is getting so big! The adorable 2-year-old kept the royal family's fun Summer outings coming on Friday when he stopped by the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire with his parents, Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge. The family, who was sadly missing Princess Charlotte, took part in an event called The Next Generation: Inspiring Innovation, which helps encourage young people to get involved in the aviation industry. And it looks like Prince George didn't need too much convincing. While touring the 247 aircrafts from 19 different countries, he looked overwhelmed and excited while sticking close by his parents' side. Wearing shorts, a polo, and protective headphones, George sat in a helicopter and a red arrow jet plane. He also made sure to show off his adorable personality by waving to the crowd and flashing a funny face for photographers. The supercute outing is just the latest we've seen of George in recent months. In addition to melting just about everyone's hearts during the Trooping the Colour parade in London in June, the preschool student also casually met President Barack Obama in his pyjamas in April. And we might be getting much more of the little one in the future, as he may be heading to Canada with his famous family. Keep reading for more of his latest outing, then check out his and Princess Charlotte's cutest pictures from 2016 — so far!
