“I woke up like thissssssss (With a cat on me),” Swift Tweeted along with the above snap. (And for those of you who don’t have your Swift felines straight, that would be Olivia Benson.) We do have a few questions about this photo: How does one wake up with unbent, un-bedraggled bangs? Where does Swift’s other cat, Meredith Grey, sleep? What chapstick does she wear to bed?
We also kind of like Swift’s natural lip look. She revealed to PEOPLE last year that she hates to be caught without her red lipstick. “I don’t have an excessive amount! I just find one I like and use it,” she shared. “Right now [I’m using] Dragon Girl by NARS … I’ll go through different phases with makeup and always try new things. Except I never really get too far from red lipstick, do I? I guess I just think my face looks worse without it. That’s pretty much the only rationale behind it.”
They've come a long way since the hourly cat fights of the past.
Quirky or creepy cat lady? That’s the line Taylor Swift is tiptoeing these days, at least, according to her friends. The “Blank Space” singer, 25, recently revealed on Live With Kelly and Michael that she asked her friends if she should get a third cat, after already caring for felines Meredith and Olivia.
“They’re like, ‘No. Three cats is a cat-lady, two cats is a party,” she quipped of their advice. Swift wasn’t the only one opening up this week. Watch Us Weekly’s “Loose Talk” video to see how Mel B reflected on the Spice Girls and how Ryan Reynolds is convincing his baby daughter James to steer clear of show business.
Olivia Benson, Taylor Swift's cat, is just as good at concealing her identity as her namesake Law & Order: SVU detective. In a new Instagram video, T.Swift revealed her feline friend is actually—wait for it!—a meerkat.
While standing on her hind legs and holding her curled paws up in the air, Olivia really does look like the desert-dwelling animal. Taylor followed her around and caught her peering up at the kitchen sink, around the living room, and even at her own reflection while in this curious position. But the cuteness doesn't reach its peak until the last shot.
"It's so majestic!" Taylor coos as she watches Olivia on the bed. "Oh my god, this cat is so weird," she adds with a giggle. If the Meerkat streaming app is looking for a new mascot, Detective Benson might be available, guys.
Since Taylor captioned this video "Living With Meerkats—a documentary," we'll be looking out for the sequel. And please let it feature Meredith's reaction to Olivia's new identity, which will probably be a sad monologue about shocking betrayal if she's anything like the other Meredith Grey from Grey's Anatomy. In fact, we have a pretty good idea about how it could go.
Cock-a-doodle-meow! It's pretty obvious that Taylor Swift is a bona fide cat lady (hey Olivia and Meredith!) based on her Instagram alone. What we didn't know, however, is that she also uses her feline friends as her morning alarm.
The singer posted an absolutely hilarious video of her daily wake up call on Instagram, and it sure is loud. Cat lovers (and dog lovers) everywhere need watch ASAP:
. Nothing like a chorus of meows to get you up in the morning. And to be quite honest, we'd probably watch a documentary about T.Swift's cats. Actually, that's a definite. We definitely would.
Most people would agree that Taylor Swift and her music are superrelatable — and now we know she's even more like us after revealing her favorite Internet meme. No, it's not the "Deal With It" or "Success Kid" but instead the "Heavy Breathing" cat, part of a group of memes knows as descriptive noise.
Taylor's answer was part of Elle's behind-the-scenes June cover shoot video. In the short clip, Taylor also tells Elle that her favorite emoji are the surprise face and side-eye characters and that her favorite show to binge-watch is Friends.
It's not surprising that Taylor would love a cat meme, considering how much affection she shows for her own cats, Dr. Meredith Grey and Detective Olivia Benson. Oh Taylor, we're glad you're not just keeping up with the Internet, but winning at it.
