Grande’s time with Davidson was terrific, according to the diva. She added that frivolity and insanity were tremendous medicine for her wounded soul. The relationship seemed, at the time, to buoy up the singer’s trauma due to memories of Miller when she headlined at Coachella. http://instagram.com/p/Bkb0UU6hUFp She was also still healing from the horrific suicide bomber detonation at her concert in Manchester, England. In an interview with Vogue Magazine, Grande attempted to explain herself: “I have to be the luckiest girl in the world, and the unluckiest, for sure. I’m walking this fine line between healing myself and not letting the things that I’ve gone through be picked at before I’m ready, and also celebrating the beautiful things that have happened in my life and not feeling scared that they’ll be taken away from me because trauma tells me that they will be, you know what I mean?” http://instagram.com/p/Bjz_sPNnCrR Did Ariana Grande throw shade at her ex? In her Vogue interview, Grande says she realized she was dating to be distracted from her pain and refers to Davidson as an “amazing distraction.” This comment may initially seem shady, but Grande elaborates on her relationship with Davidson. “My friends were like, ‘Come! We’re gonna have a fun summer.’ And then I met Pete, and it was an amazing distraction,” she said. “It was frivolous and fun and insane and highly unrealistic, and I loved him, and I didn’t know him. I’m like an infant when it comes to real life and this old soul, been-around-the-block-a-million-times artist.”

New music from Ariana Grande is on the horizon. The singer took to social media today (July 29) to share a short clip from the music video for her upcoming single "Boyfriend," out Aug. 2. As a snippet of the new song plays, the teaser shows various shots of Grande and pop duo Social House, who helped produce "Thank U, Next" and "7 Rings." This news comes after much teasing from Grande, who posted a black-and-white selfie July 28 with the caption "u ain't my boyfriend." In the post, she tagged Social House as well as Alfredo Flores and Hannah Davis, who have both directed music videos for her before.

Ariana Grande has settled the federal copyright infringement lawsuit brought against her by a Las Vegas-based “Metaphorical Realism” artist over use of an image of a woman in a candle flame in the pop star’s widely viewed “God Is a Woman” music video. Vladmir Kush, owner of Kush Fine Art in Las Vegas, sued Grande, Universal Music Group, video director Dave Meyers and video producer Nathan Scherrer and his company Freenjoy, Inc. in January alleging that they used an image of a candle that was identical to paintings that Kush painted and copyrighted in 1999 and 2000. The artistic rendering of the candle was used in the video for a little more than a minute. At one point, in the four minute video Grande is shown dancing inside the flame of a candle and Kush argued that that candle was “strikingly similar” to his signature artwork titled “The Candle.”

Ariana Grande may have canceled a recent meet and greet during a tour stop in Antwerp, Germany, but she made sure her fans knew why. According to the Daily Mail, fans who bought passes received an email shortly before the show on Friday with the subject line: “A personal message from Ariana.” “Hi my loves, time for some honesty. My anxiety and depression have been at an all time high lately. I have been giving you all I’ve got and trying to push through as hard as I can and mask it,” she wrote. “Today has been an extra rough one. After a handful of panic attacks I feel like the wisest decision would be not to do soundcheck party or m&g today and preserve me energy for the show. I don’t want to rush through our time together or seem shaky. I like spending actual time with you and I won’t be able to be present or give you the best of me today. I wish I could control these attacks but as anyone with anxiety or depression understands, sometimes you can only operate on its terms and not your own. Anybody that had m&g or soundcheck today will of course be fully reimbursed for this decision. I love you. I’m so sorry. I promise I will absolutely give you the best show I can.”

Ariana Grande has used a number of samples in her music, including Rodgers and Hammerstein's "My Favorite Things" for "7 Rings" and *NSYNC's "It Makes Me Ill" for "Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored." But on Wednesday (Oct. 16), the pop superstar is turning to a meme for her next hit.
It all started when Kylie Jenner uploaded her Kylie Cosmetics office tour last week, featuring a clip of the billionaire waking up her daughter Stormi from a nap. "Riiiise and shiiine," she sings off-key as she rouses her already-awake daughter standing in the crib.
The scene went viral over the weekend, with the Internet joking about the smash hit, "Rise and Shine" by Kylie Jenner, and trying to figure out how to set the tune as their morning alarm.
