ELYSION just released their first album, APOTHEOSIS, on April 5, and today (May 11), a very upsetting message announcing their forthcoming disbandment was made. None of the band members named a specific reason for the decision, however, they did express their deepest gratitude and sincerely apologized to their fans in comments posted on their website. Both guitarist LIRA and bassist MISOGI also commented that ELYSION will be their last band. In the meanwhile, if you wish to see them live you’ll have several chances to do so. They have several dates lined up in their live schedule, including their second one-man live, PHANTOM FRONTIER ~Shinmetsu naru Kokuin~ (〜心滅なる刻印〜), on June 19. Their final live performance will take place on August 28 at the same venue where their journey began in 2015, at Shibuya REX. We’ve gathered up the dates and venues below, but there’s much more information to be found on their website. "End Of The Night" is the name of the third album of the German heavy metal band GLORYFUL and it starts from the concept right where the legend of Sedna at the previous album "Ocean Blade" stopped: Hundreds of years after the sinking of the eponymous ship, Captain McGuerkin and his crew emerge from their wet grave and think about revenge. Musically, that sounds like this: Frontman Johnny La Bomba mimics the storyteller, who guides us through the battles and experiences of McGuerkin and his men and sings their deeds in his catchy and changeable voice. Again and again, guitar solos (especially beautiful in "The Glorriors" as well as "Heart Of Evil") and instrumental parts, where the other four band members are allowed to prove their skills and convincingly do so. Above all, the reinforcement with Adrian Weiss, who recently fired from the lead guitar alongside Jens Basten, should have helped make GLORYFUL sound much more powerful and versatile. This highly melodious mix is complemented by choruses, which are at least as live-capable as the opening of "Hail To The King", which is inviting to join in the song. The same is true of the extremely ballad-like "End Of The Night", in which the lighters swing back and forth before the inner eye.
