Quick-thinking singer Sia has claimed she once saved child star Maddie Ziegler from the clutches of evil Harvey Weinstein by stopping the young “Chandelier” dancer from boarding a plane with the convicted sex fiend. The 44-year-old Australian told “The Zach Sang Show” she has “always felt this extreme desire to protect Ziegler” who appeared in Sia’s award-winning 2014 music video at the age of just 11, the Independent reports. “You know I kept her off a plane that Harvey Weinstein tried to get her on,” Sia recalled on the radio broadcast. “I know there’s times where my insight has really made a difference, like kept her safe. “Yeah, that was really disgusting.” She pumped the brakes on the encounter by advising Ziegler’s mom, Melissa, not to allow her child onboard the jet, telling her: “Please don’t, do not do that, do not do that, do not do that.” It is not known when this incident occurred. Ziegler is now aged 17. Reps for the multitalented entertainer did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment. The starlet first became famous alongside Melissa on the Lifetime show “Dance Moms,” where Sia discovered her and asked her on Twitter to perform in the video for her hit single. Ziegler will next be seen in the Steven Spielberg remake of the musical “West Side Story.”

Growing up! Dance Moms alum Maddie Ziegler showed off her first ever tattoo she got in honor of her 18th birthday on Instagram. “[Tonya Brewer] gave me the best birthday present ever!!” the birthday babe — who celebrated her big day on September 30 — wrote in a shout-out to her makeup artist on Saturday, October 3. “Thank you [Dr. Woo] for the most perfect first tattoo.” The former reality star shared photos and videos of herself during the process of getting the body art, as well as the finished product. The tattoo read “Frances” in a delicate, thin script. The dance prodigy got the new ink on the right side of her ribcage. Many fans were curious about her word choice for the body artwork — and several other supporters offered up an explanation. “[By the way], Frances is her grandma’s name and [her sister] Kenz’s middle name,” one user clarified. Maddie’s boyfriend, Eddie Benjamin, sent his girlfriend some well wishes for her big day on September 30. “Happy birthday, beautiful,” he gushed on a smiling photo of the starlet on his Instagram Stories. The former Lifetime star and the musician, 18, started dating in late 2019 and made their relationship Instagram official in March 2020. The new couple received backlash when they went public after posting what some fans considered to be an “inappropriate” photo of Maddie cuddling a shirtless Eddie. However, Maddie’s mom, Melissa Gisoni, came to the couple’s defense in the comments section and shut down the hater. “He has his shirt off for god’s sake! He’s a boy!” she told the user before leaving her own comment, “Such a beautiful picture!”

Maddie Ziegler has found continued success since leaving ‘Dance Moms’ Of course, Ziegler discovered more passions outside of dance. During her Dance Moms tenure, she also fell in love with acting. The dancer was featured as a guest on shows like Drop Dead Diva and Pretty Little Liars. Since leaving Dance Moms, Ziegler has continued to pursue acting. She had a cameo in To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You and recently landed a lead role in and upcoming drama, The Fallout, starring alongside Jenna Ortega. Morphe, Fabletics, and using Instagram for good But there’s plenty more where that came from. Ziegler also has a bunch of other achievements on her resume. She is an author, has an ongoing partnership with Fabletics, and recently launched a makeup collection in collaboration with Morphe. In the midst of all this, the dancer also takes the time to use her immense platform to speak out about important issues. As she just turned 18, she’s been encouraging her millions of fans to utilize their voices to vote in the 2020 election. Ziegler reflects on her ‘Dance Moms’ experience Though Ziegler seems to be a very humble and hardworking young woman, fans of Dance Moms still take issue with her sometimes. Because the dancer doesn’t often talk about her time on the hit reality TV show, and because she has cut ties with her former dance teacher, Abby Lee Miller, she and her sister, Kenzie Ziegler, have been accused of not being “grateful” for the reality show. But, Ziegler says that couldn’t be further from the truth. In a recent YouTube video she filmed with Nikkie Tutorials, Ziegler reflected on her Dance Moms experience. It’s hard to think about Dance Moms without thinking about Maddie Ziegler. The golden child of Abby Lee Miller, Ziegler was the favorite at the studio and nearly always the judges’ choice also. Ziegler’s incredible work ethic, talent for dance, and penchant for perfectionism made her a fierce competitor. But Dance Moms was only the tip of the iceberg for Ziegler. http://instagram.com/p/CGVuxzQBqTR “A lot of people say that I’m not grateful for being on the show that I was [on],” Ziegler shared. “But I really am because it got me to where I am now. A lot of the things that show promoted is very not what I stand for. Like having an older woman yelling at kids and saying that we’re not this and that, you know, I obviously feel like that’s not a great environment and I’m glad that we’ve grown up and gotten out of that.”
