Kensington Palace released on Sunday two new photos of Kate Middleton and Prince William's youngest child, daughter Princess Charlotte, marking the first time the infant has been seen since her christening in July. In the pictures, taken by Kate herself, the couple's little girl, now more than six months old, sports short, chestnut brown hair like her mother and and blue eyes, like her father and late grandmother, Princess Diana. She is wearing what appears to be a pastel pink cardigan, with the top button buttoned, over a red and indigo floral dress with a frilly white collar, paired with ribbed, pastel pink woolen socks. The princess sits on a blue and white checkered chair and in one of the photos, she is seen playing with a cuddly tan stuffed dog.

Christmas has come early for Princess Charlotte! Her delighted dad Prince William was handed two custom-made dolls (aptly named Catherine and Charlotte) during a day trip to Birmingham on Monday. The dolls were for the two special ladies in his life – Princess Kate and 7-month-old Charlotte. The hand-finished $125 dolls – one with blue eyes and one with brown eyes – are from Welsh company Bonnie & Pearl and were gifted to him by businessmen Satnam Sagoo and his brother Pally, whose company made the wardrobe and bed that went with them. Both 19" dark-haired dolls are available for purchase on the company’s website, with the Charlotte Doll described as "outgoing and adventurous," and the Catherine Doll described as "strong minded and determined."

Though Kate Middleton has no problem discussing the issues dear to her heart—like children's mental health, and leggings—it's not often we hear her chatting about motherhood. But in a new documentary honoring Queen Elizabeth's upcoming 90th birthday, the Duchess gushed for the first time about her tots and the beautiful relationship they have with the longest reigning monarch. Kate told ITV's The Queen at Ninety that we weren't the only ones quietly rooting for Kate to give birth to a girl last May. Hey, it's nothing personal George, we were just stoked for all the mommy-and-me pastel coat moments. Apparently the Queen was also positively besides herself when she got the news, Kate shared. "It's very special having a new little girl…I feel very, very lucky that George has got a little sister," she says in the new documentary, airing in the UK on March 27. "The Queen was really thrilled that it was a little girl, and I think as soon as we came back here to Kensington she was one of our first visitors here."

Princess Charlotte is already bending it like Beckham! Proud dad Prince William revealed that his 11-month-old daughter has taken to the game of soccer. "She's a very good footballer," William told former professional player Paul Elliott at a lunch to mark his 10th anniversary as president of the Football Association at Wembley Stadium in London.. "You hold her hand and she kicks it. Very sweet," he added.
