Madonna's outrageous outfits have shaped the music and fashion worlds, but will her decision to wear the current New Zealand flag as a cape hold any sway in the midst of the flag referendum? The singer came out draped in the flag during her concert at Auckland's Vector Arena on Saturday night. There were suggestions from some fans it was a sign of her support for keeping the current flag.

Madonna missed a custody heading over her son Rocco today as she continued her tour in Australia. Filmmaker Guy Ritchie appeared in court in London - as Madge was seen riding a child's tricycle onto the stage. A lawyer told Mr Justice MacDonald that the singer would "very much wish" to be at the private hearing in the Family Division of the High Court but was currently on tour. The judge was analysing the latest stage of a dispute over 15-year-old Rocco between Madonna and her ex-husband Guy Ritchie - the teenager's father. Reports said Madonna - who is in Australia as part of her Rebel Heart Tour - appeared at the Forum Theatre in Melbourne dressed as a clown. She was performing at a one-off gig called Tears of a Clown - riding a child's tricycle onto the stage and singing Stephen Sondheim's Send in the Clowns, the Independent reported.

Madonna had an emotional public meltdown when she guzzled booze, begged for someone to "f- -k" her and called her ex-husband a "son of a bitch" at a packed concert in Australia on March 12, Saturday. Dressed in a corset and tiny top hat, the 57-year-old beleagured pop queen was seen failingly trying to compose herself at the sold-out show in Melbourne. The singer was seen struggling to ride a child-size tricycle on stage while carrying a tequila bottle in one hand. At one point of time, she even sprawled on stage, but continued to hold the bottle before ranting about her personal life. "Please, someone f- -k me," Page Six quoted the singer as saying to the crowd, before calling her former husband Guy Ritchie "a son of a b***h." She continued to drink on stage, occasionally throwing back shots during the performance. Madonna, who is also a mother to daughter Lourdes, 19, and two adopted children David Banda, 9, and Mercy, 12, dedicated a song to the estranged son, while his childhood pics played in the background.

Art is at its most compelling and most provocative when it comes from a real place, and so instead of turning up and doing the same tightly rehearsed show and mechanically dishing out the hits as though everything were dandy, Madonna is giving her art a compellingly erratic edge that mirrors her own personal life. At the time, she filmed a concert at the Sydney Cricket Ground, which was later released on VHS as The Girlie Show: Live Down Under and also broadcast via pay-per-view on US cable network HBO. Madonna's 2015 album "Rebel Heart" came and went, but the decades- long fascination with her personal life is stronger than ever. As Radar reported, Madonna's ongoing public fiascos are raising eyebrows amidst her ongoing bitter custody battle with Guy Ritchie over their 15-year-old son Rocco. But in a new Instagram post, Madonna says she was "playing a character".

In 2009 she was crowned the Highest-Grossing Solo Touring Artist, only to be knocked off her throne by Bruce Springsteen three-years later. However Madonna has taken back the title once more, thanks to the success of her recent Rebel Heart Tour. The 57-year-old pop diva has sold a whopping $1.73 billion AUD worth of tickets throughout her career, putting her at the top of the Billboard Boxscore once more. The tour saw Madonna visit a number of cities for the first time including Auckland, Nashville, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Macau and Manila. The tour had its ups and downs with a highlight being her moving tribute to her idol David Bowie during a Houston, Texas show.
