The Finsbury Park mosque attacker is a father-of-four who drove a rented van from Wales to London to mow down a group of worshippers, it was claimed. Darren Osborne, 47, grew up in the seaside town of Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset, before moving to Pentwyn, Cardiff. He allegedly hired the £80-a-day van for his attack in the early hours of this morning. Osborne is believed to have hired the van from Pontyclun Van Hire, 15 miles away from his home in the Welsh capital. Owners of the company today hit out at the ‘cowardly’ attack using one of their vehicles hired more than 160 miles away. The company staff said they were ‘shocked and saddened’ that one of their vans was used.

London's Metropolitan Police are investigating an explosion that struck a train at a subway station during rush hour Friday morning and injured at least 29 people, calling it an act of terrorism. "We can confirm that we treated a total of 19 patients — mostly for minor injuries — and took them to three London hospitals" after the incident at the Parsons Green metro station," said Natasha Wills of the London Ambulance Service. Ten other patients went to London hospitals on their own following the incident at the above-ground station, the National Health Service says. Of the 29 people who went to hospitals, 21 were listed as "currently being treated" Friday evening (local time). No deaths have been reported as a result of the blast, which seems to have left a small fire burning in a bucket inside the train car. Emergency calls went out at 8:20 a.m. local time, when a fire was reported at the Parsons Green station on the London Underground. “We have hundreds of detectives involved looking at CCTV, forensic work and speaking to witnesses,” he said shortly after the attack. “This investigation will be supported by our colleagues at MI5 bringing their intelligence expertise to the case.” “My thoughts are with those injured at Parsons Green and emergency services who are responding bravely to this terrorist incident,” May said. Parsons Green is in trendy Fulham, a neighborhood of Victorian rowhouses, furniture designers and Championship League soccer.

Emilie König went from being a barmaid in Brittany to a notorious recruiter for Isis. French sociologist and documentary maker Agnes de Feo, who met König tells The Local how the daughter of a French policeman ended up among the ranks of the terror group. The story of Emilie König has perplexed France. Since news of her arrest emerged earlier this month the country has been asking how the 33-year-old former nightclub barmaid from the town of Lorient in Brittany ended up featuring on UN and US blacklists of dangerous Isis jihadists? For the last five years she has lived among the ranks of Isis soldiers in the self-declared Caliphate. But she was captured by Kurds in Syria last month and faces trial accused of being an Isis recruiter and peddling the terror group's propaganda. She is being held along with her three young children, all born during the conflict in the Middle East, along with several other French women. This week her mother, who lives in Brittany told France's Ouest France newspaper: "She wants to come back. She regrets all her words and wants to pay her debt in France. She is asking for forgiveness from her family, her friends and her country." But the French government is not in a forgiving mood and insist she must face trial in Syria.
