Elon Musk and X (formerly Twitter) announced on April 4, 2022, that they will begin purging the platform of bots that have existed on the platform since before Musk acquired the company in 2022. This is the latest effort by Musk, who has struggled to combat fake accounts.
Musk, who had said before he bought Twitter in 2022 that he would "fight to the death against spambots," said on April 4 that a "systematic purge" of bots and trolls was underway. X said it would track down those responsible for those accounts and "will deal with them with the full force of the law."
X's safety account followed Musk's post several hours later, informing users that accounts that violate rules against manipulation and spam may be removed and that their follower counts may change as a result.

(Reuters) - U.S. electric vehicle (EV) giant Tesla has discontinued development of a low-priced EV model with a selling price of approximately $25,000. This was revealed by multiple people familiar with the matter.
Tesla will continue to develop fully self-driving robotaxi vehicles on the same small car platform, the people said.
Tesla did not respond to requests for comment. In response to the report, CEO Elon Musk said on the short-form posting site X (formerly Twitter) that ``Reuters is lying (again),'' but did not mention any specific errors.
Following the Reuters report, Tesla's stock price fell more than 6% at one point. However, the decline was reduced in response to Musk's post. The closing price was 3.6% lower.

[Havana Kyodo] Brazilian judicial authorities launched an investigation into X (formerly Twitter) on the 7th, accusing owner Elon Musk of disobeying a court order to restrict certain accounts. He ordered his country's investigative authorities to do so. Local media reported this on the 8th.
It all started when Mr. Musk objected to an order from a Brazilian court, saying it was a "violation of the law" and "censorship" and lifted the restrictions. Mr. Musk pointed out that Judge de Moraes of Brazil's Supreme Court had threatened to impose huge fines and arrest the employees.
The conflict deepened, with Mr. Musk hinting at closing his office in Brazil and posting on his own X that Mr. de Moraes "should resign or be impeached."

Tesla CEO and billionaire Elon Musk admitted in court that he used an anonymous account on social media platform X that posed as his 3-year-old child.

Musk admitted to using an anonymous account at a hearing in his defamation case held on March 27th, and an affidavit was released on April 8th.
In the lawsuit, Musk is being sued for defamation by 22-year-old Ben Brody for "spreading false information that he was a federal agent posing as a neo-Nazi."
At the hearing on March 27, during Musk's testimony, the plaintiff's attorney brought up an X account called "Elon Test/@ermnmusk" and asked if it belonged to him.
Musk confirmed that it was his account, but said: "I'm not using this account. I just used it for testing."
Musk made similar claims later in his testimony, saying, "I used this account for a short period of time as a test."

[New York Current Affairs] U.S. electric vehicle (EV) giant Tesla on the 17th asked shareholders to approve huge compensation for CEO Musk.
We are calling for approval at the annual general meeting of shareholders to be held in June. According to US media, the compensation amounted to approximately $56 billion (approximately 8.6 trillion yen) and was determined in 2018, but a court in the eastern US state of Delaware ruled it invalid in January of this year.
Tesla also proposed to shareholders that the company's corporate registration be moved from Delaware to the southern state of Texas, where it is headquartered. The aim is to pass these two proposals at a general meeting of shareholders so that Mr. Musk can be compensated.
Regarding remuneration, some shareholders had filed a lawsuit claiming that the decision-making procedures at the board of directors were inappropriate and that the amount was too large. A court ruling in January accepted this argument.
