Adele surprised a young fan on Tuesday with a visit in between her Belfast tour dates. 12-year-old Rebecca Gibney's mother Tracy launched a campaign on social media, asking for a message from Adele for her seriously ill daughter. But the Hello singer went one step further, surprising Tracy and Rebecca with a visit to her bedside. Tracy was desperate to get a message from Adele for her daughter, creating an online petition, contacting the singer's management and tweeting requests for help ahead of the star's much anticipated Belfast dates this week. On Tuesday morning Tracy received a call from Adele's team, informing her that the global superstar was keen to go one better than a message, and was already on her way round. The south London songstress called into the family home in Belfast's Short Strand on Tuesday afternoon to spend some quality time with Rebecca

Adele's world tour so far has been filled with a lot of happy tears, roughly half from that feeling one gets at an Adele show, half from the joy of watching two people get engaged. Weeks after helping a couple move things to the next level with a Leap Day proposal, Adele found herself in a similar position at the London show last night, when a man proposed to the love of his life during "Make You Feel My Love." Naturally, that scored the couple some finger-pointing from Adele ("They just got married! I think they just got engaged!") and an immediate invitation to the stage for some post-engagement banter. To further ensure that you're in a pool of tears by the end of the video, the couple explains that "Make You Feel My Love" is their song and they've been dating for 12 and a half years. Twelve and a half! As Adele points out, they've "been together longer than I've been making music."

The music video was shot in London and directed by Patrick Daughters, who has previously worked on clips for bands like Muse and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Send My Love (To Your New Lover) is the third track taken from the star's record-breaking album, 25 and the new video will be broadcast live for the first time during the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas this Sunday, May 22. Adele has been nominated for eight awards on the night but will not be there. The Brit superstar is currently in the middle of her world tour and will be on stage in Lisbon on Saturday and Sunday nights.

Adele's video for "Hello," the first single from her album 25, broke records as the most-viewed video on Vevo within the first 24 hours, elbowing Taylor Swift and her army of "Bad Blood" It Girls from the top spot. Then it was epically parodied on Saturday Night Live by Matthew McConaughey, and we haven't answered the phone in the same way since. The singer's latest video, for “Send My Love (To Your New Lover),” premiered last night at the Billboard Music Awards. Adele took home five honors including Top Female Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, and Top Selling Song (for “Hello”). Despite not actually attending the ceremony (she's on tour), Adele was one of the top winners of the evening, coming in behind The Weeknd, who scooped eight awards. Directed by Patrick Daughters, the new video sees Adele dancing (which may come as a surprise to fans!) in a pitch-black room, singing her heart out. Working with her longtime stylist and friend Gaelle Paul, she's wearing a floral gown from Dolce & Gabbana's SS16 collection.

Adele just won Album of the year for 25, beating out Justin Bieber's Purpose, Drake's Views, and Beyoncé's Lemonade. The singer, who'd just been on the stage to accept the award for Song of the Year, was overcome with emotion, thanking everyone again, but saying that ultimately she couldn't accept the award because, Beyoncé: Thank you. Hi, guys. Hi. Hi, everyone. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. As you can see, it took an army to make me strong and willing again to do it. And I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Five years ago, when I was last here, I was so―I was pregnant, and I didn't know. And I was awarded that shortly after, I found out shortly after, which was the biggest blessing of my life. And in my pregnancy, becoming a mother, I lost a lot of myself. I struggled and I still do struggle being a mom. It's really hard. But tonight winning this kind of full circle. But I can't possibly accept this award, and I'm very humbled and very grateful and gracious but my life is Beyonce, and the album to me, the "Lemonade" album, Beyonce, was so monumental, and so well thought out. And so beautiful and soul bearing and we all got to see another side of you that you don't always let us see, and we appreciate that. And all us artists adore you. You are our light. And the way that you make me and my friends feel, the way you make my black friends feel is empowering, and you make them stand up for themselves. And I love you. I always have. And I always will. I appreciate it.
