Honda started skating from the two-year-old, to debut as the 10-year-old at the "All Japan Novice Championships" held in 2010, and she attracted the attention. We were playing to imitate of CA's far from a little while ago." and smile. For the sponsorship agreement she was glad. "A lot to move on the airplane at international competitions, and I was thinking about how you can relax the time. This season also want to do my best to leave more than the results up to now," said. Upon the receipt of the signed contract memorabilia, she said, "I want to go fast even toward the dream of gold medal at the Olympics. Reigning world junior champion Marin Honda traveled to Canton, Michigan, recently to spend time working with coach and choreographer Marina Zoueva at the Arctic Edge Ice Arena. Honda is tuning up for defense of her title at the world junior championships in Taipei this month. Zoueva is a renowned figure with more than 30 years of experience who has helped mentor two different ice dance teams (Americans Meryl Davis and Charlie White — 2014; Canada’s Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir — 2010) and one pairs team (Russia’s Ekaterina Gordeeva and Sergei Grinkov — 1988, 1994) to the Olympic gold medal. The Moscow native, herself a former ice dancer, recently became one of the coaches (along with Oleg Epstein) of two-time U.S. champion Gracie Gold after she left Frank Carroll following the U.S. nationals. Zoueva also works with three-time world champion Patrick Chan and U.S champion Nathan Chen in Canton. Zoueva has choreographed Honda’s short program the past two seasons. She set a nice routine to “Spring Sonata” for the last campaign and another for “Smile” this time around. Honda’s interpretative skills have made both programs winners.

After struggling through a season in which she admitted that being the reigning world junior champion had created stress for her, Honda responded with two fine programs to earn the silver medal behind Russia’s Alina Zagitova at the world junior championships on Saturday in Taipei. Honda was attempting to become the first Japanese female to defend the world junior title, but came up seven points short. In doing so, she joined Mao Asada in winning the world junior crown one year (2005), then placing second the next (2006 — behind Yuna Kim).
