Fashion brands are increasingly trying to reach potential customers on social media, and they’ve recruited some heavy hitters to help them out. Coach, for one, signed on Selena Gomez as a brand ambassador late last year. Gomez, a singer and actress, has the most followers of anyone on Instagram, and even investors realize that’s increasing the company’s visibility with younger shoppers. In the most recent quarter, Coach grew its follower count by almost 50% relative to a year before -- the pre-Selena era. It also doubled the average number of comments per photo and grew its average number of “likes” by 81%, according to a Piper Jaffray analysis.

Selena Gomez recently turned 25—but in her mind, age ain't nothing but a number. "I kind of wish numbers didn't exist sometimes, because I feel like I'm 15 some days, and then other days I wake up and I'm 40," the "Fetish" singer tells InStyle's editor in chief Laura Brown in the September issue, on stands Aug. 11. "It's so weird, how one year can change everything. Last year I canceled my tour and went away for 90 days, and it was the best thing that I ever could've done. I had no phone, nothing, and I was scared. But it was amazing, and I learned a lot. Everything I cared about, I stopped caring about. I came out, and it felt like, 'OK, I can only go forward.' And there are still days. I go to therapy. I believe in that and talking about where you are. But I'm in a really, really healthy place."

Selena Gomez's Disney Channel days may be long gone, but starring on shows like Wizards of Waverly Place was how she got her start, and Sel isn't one to forget that fact. J-14 reports that in a recent interview on Radio Disney, Selena Gomez was asked about her ties to the show that played a big role in launching her career. She was asked by Stuck In the Middle star Jenna Ortega, who said: "Hey Selena Gomez. This is Jenna Ortega, and I just want to say really quick – I love you so much, and you have been such a big inspiration for me throughout my life. And Wizards of Waverly Place was my show, so I wanted to know if you still pretend to be Alex Russo when no one's watching?"

The “Fetish” singer isn’t just a role model to fans around the globe, but also back at home to half-sisters Gracie Elliot Teefey, 4, and Victoria Gomez, 3. On Monday, Gomez shared an empowering look into her family life by sharing a video on Instagram of herself delivering a message to Gracie. “I’m not scared,” the toddler tells Gomez in the video. “I know, because you’re fearless, right? You’re not scared of anything, right?” the pop star responds before the two high-five. “I will forever let my sister know she is strong, bold and beautiful,” Gomez wrote in the caption. “She will be raised to know her voice matters. She is going to understand the importance behind being a leader and inspire others by her truth.”
