Considering how popular the CW’s Riverdale has become, it’s no surprise that the crew behind the Archie revamp is also gearing up for its sister series, the "dark" The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. But who will land the iconic teen role? If the Internet is to be believed, it could be Selena Gomez. A tweet from @musicnewsrumor posted the rumor about Selena potentially filling Sabrina’s shoes ... or shall we say donning her ’s hat? And while that's all the only thing currently linking Selena to the project, it's enough to get a lot of fans very excited. However, it should go without saying that this is all just (pretty shaky) speculation until anyone from Riverdale or Sel's camp says otherwise. Could Selena’s new blonde hair be a sign that she’s taking the role? It’s possible - the character of Sabrina has always been blonde in the comics. Selena’s fans flooded the original tweet with excited replies, hoping that she’ll make the return to TV soon.

It's been quite a year for Selena Gomez -- from her new music to executive producing a hit Netflix series, to her health struggles and continued Instagram fame -- and Billboard honored her with "Woman of the Year" award at the 2017 Billboard Women in Music event. Co-star Elle Fanning introduced Gomez at the ceremony. "It's rare to find someone who uses their trials and tribulations to make everyone else stronger." "I feel incredibly lucky," Gomez began. "Honestly, I couldn't be more grateful for the position I've been given in my career." "I want people to know I respect the platform that I have so deeply," Gomez said. "Specifically this year, I would like to thank my amazing team and my family because they stuck with me through some really hard times," Gomez continued. "I got to do a lot this year, even though I had a couple of other things to do."

Even before Selena Gomez and The Weeknd broke up in October, the “Wolves” singer was seen out and about with former boyfriend Justin Bieber. In the December issue of Billboard, Gomez spoke publicly for the first time about reuniting with her former flame. “I’m 25. I’m not 18, or 19, or 20,” the singer said. “I cherish people who have really impacted my life. So maybe before, it could have been forcing something that wasn’t right. But that doesn’t mean caring for someone ever goes away.” Gomez said that the attitude that led her to Bieber being back in life applies to “people in general.” “I mean, I grew up with Demi [Lovato]. Nick and Joe [Jonas] and Miley [Cyrus] ― we’ve gone through seasons in our lives,” she said. “I don’t think it’s as serious as people make things out to be half the time. It’s just my life. I grew up with all of these people, and it’s so cool to see where everybody is. It comes back to the idea of me remaining full.”

It's only been two weeks since her platinum blonde debut dominated the red carpet at the American Music Awards and subsequent news cycle for the next few days, but Selena Gomez is already onto to her next hair transformation. While much of the wold is still trying to adjust to Gomez's dramatic blonde makeover, the "Bad Liar" singer is wasting no time experimenting with her freshly dyed locks. Today, Gomez stepped out with a totally new look while greeting fans outside of BBC Radio One in London: messy, freshly-chopped bangs. Following in the footsteps of model Chrissy Teigen, who recently ditched her layered bombshell waves for eye-skimming bangs, Gomez is the latest to join in the dramatic trend. To punctuate the her messy waves look, Gomez added a matte red lip painted on by longtime makeup artist Hung Vanngo and a '70s retro-inspired ensemble that paired perfectly her platinum, feathered bob. Gomez's hairstylist, Marissa Marino posted an image of the new look on Instagram alongside the caption, "Bangs are back."

During a recent interview with BBC’s The Radio 1 Breakfast Show With Nick Grimshaw, Gomez revealed, “There is no might, there is an album.” “And I think it’s fair to say that people know the year I’ve had, and I’ve poured my heart into my music and I wanted it to be fresh,” continued the 25-year-old. “It wasn’t really about charts for me or numbers. It was more just about what I could creatively do for my music. So, yes, I can successfully say that my inspiration for this next album is in full motion and it will be very soon.” Gomez revealed earlier this year that, due to lupus complications, she’d received a kidney transplant from her best friend Francia Raisa over the summer. The singer returned to the stage for the first time just last month, performing during the American Music Awards. The staging of her single “Wolves” marked Gomez’s first live performance in over a year as she had stepped away from the spotlight to deal with her health crisis. On her new music, Gomez also told Radio 1, “It’s exciting to be in a place where I love surprising people and creating new areas of music I can explore. And I’ll get to be present, you know? I was taking some time off for my health and it was good, but now I get to be here.”
