JonBenét Ramsey’s brother Burke is opening up for the first time about his sister’s death, in a sit-down interview with Dr. Phil. Burke, now 29, will break his silence in a three-part interview set to air September 12, 13, and 14. He was just 9 years old when his sister was killed. When it comes to cold cases, few are as enduring as the killing of 6-year-old JonBenét Ramsey on Dec 26, 1996. Now, almost 20 years after the child beauty pageant queen was found dead in the basement of her family's home in Boulder, Colorado, a team of investigators is reexamining – and in some cases reenacting – the case. In an exclusive clip from the upcoming CBS docu-series The Case of: JonBenét Ramsey, the team, including a former FBI profiler and behavioral analyst with Scotland Yard, casts doubt on the ransom note written by an alleged kidnapper and found by JonBenét's mother, Patsy Ramsey, that fateful December morning. Many theories – but few answers – have been found in the wake of JonBenét's death, despite years of investigation. The Ramsey family has never been charged and always maintained their innocence. In the new clip, forensic scientist Henry Lee tells investigators that the pad used to write the ransom note came from Patsy's desk in the hallway, the pad was Patsy’s pad and the pen was found underneath the phone. The killer allegedly practiced a few times before writing out the final note in the Ramsey home, Lee says.

A difficult day. Burke Ramsey recalled the moment he found out his sister JonBenét Ramsey was dead in a new clip from his interview with Dr. Phil McGraw. "The first thing I remember is my mom bursting in my room really frantic, saying, like, 'Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh,' running around my room, looking for JonBenét," Burke, who was 9 years old at the time of his younger sister's murder, said on The Dr. Phil Show Monday, September 12. "I remember her saying, 'Where's my baby? Where's my baby?' … The next thing I remember is a police officer coming to my room and shining a flashlight." Burke, now 29, sat down for his first-ever media interview with Dr. Phil nearly two decades after JonBenét's death. The mysterious case, which has yet to be solved, recently returned to the spotlight, thanks to new documentaries and interviews, including CBS' two-part docuseries The Case Of: JonBenét Ramsey (which airs Sunday, September 18, and Monday, September 19). "I told the guy, I was like, 'Uh, she's probably hiding somewhere. Did you check the whole house? … Maybe she's outside," he recounted. Later that day, John confirmed his daughter's death to his son. "My dad just said, 'She's in heaven now,'" Burke explained. "I started crying. I don't think I said anything. I didn't believe it at first."

Burke Ramsey addressed the persistent theory that his late mom, Patsy Ramsey, killed his sister, JonBenét Ramsey, back in 1996, during the second installment of his interview with Dr. Phil McGraw, which aired Tuesday, September 13. "It doesn't make sense," Burke, 29, told McGraw. "Not to say she never got upset, but nothing near laying a finger on us, let alone killing her child." Burke was just 9 when JonBenét, then 6, was found murdered in the basement of the family's house in Boulder, Colorado, on December 26, 1996. The young beauty queen had a cord around her neck and duct tape over her mouth. Autopsy results revealed that she was struck in the head and strangled to death. Hours before her body was found, Patsy found a ransom note that demanded $118,000 in exchange for JonBenét's return.
