The members of Why Don’t We have a secret handshake they do right before hitting the stage. They call it their “confidence solidifier.” “I can’t go onstage if I don’t shake everyone’s hand,” Why Don’t We’s Daniel Seavey told HuffPost. “There was one time the show started and we hadn’t done the handshake. We were supposed to run onstage, but we finished the handshake first.” The five-piece group, featuring Seavey (who competed on Season 14 of “American Idol”), Zach Herron, Corbyn Besson, Jonah Marais and Jack Avery, started that handshake after forming their band in the summer of 2016. The guys knew one other from touring as solo acts and decided to meet up in Los Angeles just to see what would happen.

Former New York City Global Welcome Ambassador Taylor Swift really loves Manhattan. She sang about it in 2014’s Welcome To New York. She gushed about it on Late Show with David Letterman. And, according to recent reports, she bought nearly $50 million worth of it on a sleepy block in Tribeca. According to the Tribeca Citizen and the New York Post, the Pennsylvania native-turned-Nashville celebrity was the recent LLC-shielded buyer of a 3,540-square-foot second-floor apartment at 155 Franklin Street. While the Citizen says the purchaser “dramatically overpaid” for the unit, the $9.75 million home is nowhere near Swift’s most expensive home on the block. The singer purchased the top floor penthouses at 155 Franklin Street for $19.95 million in 2014 and bought the three-story townhouse next door for $18 million in September 2017. If Swift is the buyer of 155 Franklin Street’s second-floor unit, the purchase brings the total cost of her Franklin Street holdings to over $47 million.

Taylor Swift’s Tribeca spending spree continues—or so anonymous tipsters claim. The pop megastar has reportedly snagged another apartment at 155 Franklin Street, where she already owns the penthouse; her new pad is allegedly a second-floor unit that sold to an anonymous LLC in an off-market transaction for $9.75 million. Tribeca Citizen first reported the rumors, which the New York Post now says it has confirmed through “sources” (so take all of this with a grain of salt). The three-bedroom, 3,450-square-foot apartment was previously owned by financier Jeremy Phillips, and the sale closed in November. As Tribeca Citizen notes, it sold for quite a bit higher than two-bedrooms typically go for in the building; Swift paid close to $20 million for her penthouse (created from two units) back in 2014, but other sales have been more in the $4 to $5 million range.

She’s feeling oh so 22! Sophie Turner chose a very fitting — and interesting — song to jam out to while celebrating her birthday on Wednesday, February 21. The Game of Thrones actress shared an Instagram Story of herself belting out to Taylor Swift’s 2012 hit “22.” “I don’t know about you but I’m feeling 22,” Turner lip-synced in the clip. http://instagram.com/p/BeT1PuZAY-x
