It's no secret that Taylor Swift and Katy Perry have had one of the biggest and most infamous feuds of the decade. It even culminated with the two releasing diss tracks — Taylor striking first with "Bad Blood" and Katy responding with "Swish Swish." This has been a long time in the making: Back in May 2018, Katy sent Taylor a note and a literal olive branch as a peace offering (which Taylor posted on her Insta story).

Pop star Taylor Swift gave a surprise performance at Stonewall Inn on Friday night, just after the release of her pro-LGBT song “You Need to Calm Down.” According to Variety, Swift surprised the crowd of about 100 inside the Greenwich Village historical site following a performance by singer Sara Bareilles. Modern Family actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson introduced Swift, who sang her hit song “Shake It Off.” Stonewall is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 1969 riots by members of the LGBT community against a police raid at the Stonewall Inn. Swift’s new single from her upcoming album, Lover, reportedly gives a nod to the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation and the LGBT community. GLAAD announced they saw a spike in $13 donations—Swift’s favorite number—after the song’s release.

It appears Lorde may have mended her friendship with former "best bud" Taylor Swift. The New Zealand singer-songwriter famously described her relationship with Swift as "like having a friend with very specific allergies" in a 2017 interview with The Guardian. "There are certain places you can't go together. Certain things you can't do. There are these different sets of considerations within the friendship. It's like having a friend with an autoimmune disease." The Kiwi singer later apologised on social media, describing her comments as "really insensitive".

Taylor Swift has a multitude of talents, but she may want to leave bartending to the pros. The Grammy winner, 29, has inked a new, multi-year partnership with Capital One, and the singer launched the collab on Friday morning with a new commercial (shared exclusively with PEOPLE) highlighting the company’s “Savor” card. Ahead of the release of Swift’s upcoming album Lover next month, Capital One is offering their cardholders the opportunity to pre-order an exclusive bundle that includes a digital edition the album along with a one-of-a-kind T-shirt.
