Taylor Swift had an extra special guest by her side during iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball on Friday: her boyfriend Joe Alwyn.
The 27-year-old “Shake It Off” singer headed to the star-studded New York City event with Alwyn, with the couple spotted entering Madison Square Garden holding hands.
It’s a rare appearance for Swift and Alwyn, who secretly dated for months before going public with their relationship in May.
“Taylor and Joe are spending time together in N.Y.C. Taylor was in the best mood. She was smiling and waving to fans,” a source tells PEOPLE. “Joe stayed for the whole show and they later left together as well. They are staying at Taylor’s N.Y.C. apartment.”
He might have become accustomed to travelling on Taylor Swift‘s private jet – but the singer’s boyfriend Joe Alwyn opted for a regular flight as he jetted out of Heathrow this time. The actor – who has been dating Tay since late 2016 – was spotted at the airport after spending Christmas with his family.
And while there was no private plane for him this time, he did still get to fly first class as he jetted off to an unconfirmed destination – so that’s not too terrible. The notoriously private couple began dating in late 2016 but their romance only went public in May 2017, following years of Taylor’s high-profile relationships in the press.
Which is great news for her boyfriend Joe Alwyn, who is reportedly enjoying SO MUCH of Tay Tay staying at his north London pad, his friends are joking that the two are living together!
A source told The Sun's Dan Wootton, who broke news of the duo dating last May, that the superstar and British actor "haven't quite got to that stage" of cohabitation just yet.
But don't worry, the two are apparently as serious as a Taylor Swift Grammy acceptance speech!
Wootton reports that the Blank Space singer has been spending "a lot of time" hanging out with Joe and his friends, since she doesn't have her own place to stay in while in the UK.
The source explained:
"Taylor has been spending a lot of time at Joe's house, and has been enjoying going out with his pals to their favorite local haunts. She always tries to keep a low profile but has been having a lot of fun with the group. And some have even been joking that it's as if she's moved in with him, as Taylor doesn't have her own place to live in when she's staying in the UK."
Over a year since the pair became an item, Taylor Swift is rumoured to be spending so much time with her boyfriend Joe Alwyn in his hometown of London, UK, that she's practically moved in.
Following their rare public appearance together at Capital Radio's Jingle Bell Ball in December, a source has revealed to E! News that the 28-year-old singer has got her cross-Atlantic lifestyle with Alywn down to a tee, and has been spending a lot of time in Britain in recent months.
'Taylor has been in the UK a LOT more than people know,' an insider says. 'She has the entire routine down pat now.'
The Reputation singer is said to fly into the UK by private jet or to a private airfield and then she's driven straight to Joe's north London home in Crouch End in a iconspicuous blacked-out car.
The 'Bad Blood' star is even said to be able to pass through terminals at the airport and gets her passport checked on board her flight while a car awaits her arrival on the tarmac.
'Unless you're part of her inner circle, you wouldn't know when she is or isn't here,' the source told the news outlet, adding that Swift 'barely leaves a trace'.
However, instead of attending flashy celebrity-filled parties and Londons' finest restaurants, the couple are rumoured to spend most of their time in Blighty at Joe's house.
'Taylor's met all of Joe's family. They've done many a Sunday roast together — in fact it happens without fail if she's here over a weekend—and they seem very comfortable around her,' added the insider.
'His brothers all seem to be fans of them together as they've hung out with Taylor and Joe on several occasions.'
Last year, it was rumoured Taylor was house hunting in London and checking out homes in Chelsea to be closer to her beau.
