The Grammy winner, 29, is busy shooting the upcoming film adaptation of the hit musical in London — and on Wednesday several of her catty crew revealed the sweet gifts the singer handed out on set. “When you come home from work with gifts! Thank you to the INCREDIBLE @taylorswift,” wrote ballet dancer Eric Underwood on an Instagram Story of some reputation merch, stickers and more. Actor Redmand Rance also showed off his jam-packed bag of merch on Instagram, writing “When @taylorswift gets the whole cast gift bags.” Last month, Swift posted a selfie from her trailer on the set of Cats, excitedly showing fans snowy London. “So I am on set for Cats and it is fully snowing,” she said in one video as clumps of snowflakes stuck to her hair. She also posted another one of her running and prancing in the snow.

If the currently public cast is anything to go by, the filmmakers might actually be making some adjustments to the adaptation to give Swift a more high-profile role. So far, IMDb does not listanyone in the roles of Demeter and Jellylorum, the cats that typically appear alongside Bombalurina in the stage version. It's certainly possible that they simply haven't publicly announced who is playing these smaller roles, but it seems more likely that the team behind the film has chosen to fold all three of those roles into the single role of Bombalurina, giving Swift more to do in the story and also giving her solos where her stage counterpart would have been performing in duets or trios. In the original London cast of Cats, Bombalurina was originated by Geraldine Gardner. When the show moved to Broadway, American actress Donna King took over the role. After King left the cast (actors on Broadway often leave a show after a year or two), she was succeeded by Marlene Danielle, who remained in the role for the rest of the show's record-setting run on Broadway: a whopping 18 years! While Swift won't have to play the part for quite that long, we're excited to see how she fares when the Cats movie is released on Dec. 20, 2019.

Appearing on The Late Late Show With James Corden, Rebel Wilson continued to uphold the ridiculous fiction that a bunch of celebrities are currently filming a movie adaptation of Cats, and that she and Corden are two of them. Wilson, who’s playing Jennyanydots, described the “insane” experience of being on set with Corden, who’s playing Bustopher Jones, alongside Idris Elba, Taylor Swift, and Judi Dench.
They also mimed out characterizations of cats, which involved a lot of purring and definitely weirded out Priyanka Chopra. Still, they provided no explanation on whether the film will use CGI or elaborate costumes to transform the actors into cats, though we do know that, according to Wilson, Taylor Swift is the “sexiest” cat. December 2019: time to get horny for cats.

Rebel Wilson can’t help but gush about her Cats costar Taylor Swift.
Wilson, 38, spoke about working with the pop star, 29, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight saying the “Delicate” singer brought a sultry vibe to her character, Bombalurina, in the musical adaptation.
“She’s incredible. She’s such a lovely girl and I personally think her cat is the sexiest out of all cats,” Wilson said. Wilson, who currently stars in Isn’t It Romantic, plays Jennyanydots in the upcoming film, alongside Idris Elba, Judi Dench, Ian McKellen, Jennifer Hudson and James Corden.
The actress also revealed she hadn’t seen Swift’s boyfriend, actor Joe Alwyn, on the Cats set.

Is Taylor Swift nervous about her performance in the upcoming Cats movie adaptation? A new report alleges the singer is already “getting the cold sweats” over her first big feature film. But Gossip Cop looked into the claim, and we’ve learned she’s actually been pretty even-keeled.
According to Star, a tipster says, “Taylor is anxious to be seen as a serious actress.” The magazine further contends Swift is “suffering anxiety” because her costars Ian McKellan and Jennifer Hudson have already been “hard at work” on the production for a few weeks and she’s yet to begin filming. “She wants to live up to her costars’ expectations and have their utmost respect, because this is the big chance she’s been waiting for,” adds the outlet’s source.
The tabloid’s supposed insider explains the pressure is mounting for Swift, who is slated to play the character Bombalurina in the film adaptation of the Broadway show. “Taylor hasn’t shot any of it yet,” notes the source, “and they keep pushing her back because they’re finalizing her makeup and locking down all the recordings.” And while it’s true she hasn’t begun production yet, we’re told Swift has remained one cool cat and the magazine’s premise is false.
In the days leading up to shooting Cats, Swift has rather calmly posted photos on Instagram from her trailer. Alongside one picture, she lightheartedly wrote the caption, “This trailer courtesy of Cats the film. Cat hair on my jacket courtesy of actual cats, Meredith and Olivia.” Swift posted another Instagram photo from the outside of her trailer, along with the caption, “Meow.”
Additionally, Swift shared a video from the set of Cats on her Instagram stories, and captioned the footage, “Always too excited.” It’s clear the singer is overjoyed to be working on the production, in which she’ll show off her singing talents on the big screen. The idea she’s in a state of panic over her new gig simply isn’t true.
