Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus have been compared for the last twelve years. The two artists both emerged as global stars following the success of their respective hit shows, Wizards of Waverly Place and Hannah Montana. Both women are 26 years old, with only four months separating them. The actresses have both been wildly successful with their music and acting careers, are philanthropists, have incredible fan bases, and eons ago they both dated the same famous guy, Nick Jonas. Gomez vs. Cyrus Despite the obvious similarities, people often point out how different they are because of their public personas. Whilst Gomez is fiercely private, more mellow, and a little more straightlaced, Cyrus is more risque and a rule breaker. Cyrus is also a strict vegan, whilst Gomez’s Texan roots make her a lover of all foods. However, Bill Murray was quick to point out that these two former Disney darlings have more in common than people think. http://instagram.com/p/Bxh6oZgg2ql

Miley Cyrus has been in and out of headlines for the past several weeks. The 26-year old recently released the first of three EP’s that she plans to release this year entitled “She Is Coming”. On top of her musical endeavors, she also made her return to acting in the latest season of the Netflix series Black Mirror. http://instagram.com/p/ByP-WsmJd5I Cyrus also found herself in the middle of a cake feud and unfortunately, she also made the news when she was sexually assaulted by a fan whilst leaving her hotel. But now, Cyrus has found herself back in the spotlight for an entirely different reason. She recently apologized for some controversial statements that she made years ago directed towards the hip-hop community. http://instagram.com/p/ByY0jdqJa3B Cyrus continued on to vow that she was committed to doing better in the future and that she was willing to continuously learn from her mistakes. “There are decades of inequality that I am aware of, but still have learn about. Silence is part of the problem and I refuse to be quiet anymore. My words became a divider in a time where togetherness and unity is crucial. I can not change what I said at that time, but I can say I am deeply sorry for the disconnect my words caused. Simply said; I f*cked up and I sincerely apologize. I’m committed to using my voice for healing, change, and standing up for what’s right.” the actress wrote.

Miley Cyrus has surprised fans at Glastonbury 2019 by performing as Ashley O – the character she portrayed in the latest series of Black Mirror. The US singer starred as the fictional popstar in the season five episode Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too, which debuted on Netflix earlier this month along with two other Charlie Brooker-created instalments of the dystopian show. As Cyrus performed on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury on Sunday evening, she briefly brought the character to life once more. She donned a pink wig and sang ‘On A Roll’ – her reworked version of Nine Inch Nails ‘Head Like A Hole’ which featured in the show.

Miley Cyrus refuses to be put in boxes -- even when it comes to her marriage with Liam Hemsworth. The 26-year-old singer covers Elle magazine's August 2019 issue, and opens up about where she currently stands both in her career and in her personal life. Cyrus talks about her "unique" relationship with Hemsworth, whom she married last December. "I think it's very confusing to people that I'm married," Cyrus says. "But my relationship is unique. And I don't know that I would ever publicly allow people in there because it's so complex, and modern, and new that I don't think we're in a place where people would get it." Cyrus says being married hasn't changed her sexual preferences. In a Vanity Fair interview in February, Cyrus described herself as "a queer person in a hetero relationship." "I mean, do people really think that I'm at home in a f**king apron cooking dinner?" Cyrus now asks rhetorically. "I'm in a hetero relationship, but I still am very sexually attracted to women. People become vegetarian for health reasons, but bacon is still f**king good, and I know that. I made a partner decision. This is the person I feel has my back the most. I definitely don't fit into a stereotypical wife role. I don't even like that word."
