Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are kicking off their royal tour in Africa!
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are also traveling with 4-month-old son Archie, started their 10-day tour with an outing in Cape Town, South Africa. The couple were spotted earlier in the day leaving their plane with baby Archie in Meghan’s arms.
The royal couple, who left Archie with a nanny ahead of their first tour stop, received a vibrant welcome from locals upon their arrival to the Nyanga township, where they are taking in a workshop run by an NGO called Justice Desk, which teaches children about their rights, self-awareness and safety. The program also teaches self-defense classes and female empowerment training to young girls in the community. The NGO is supported by the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, of which Harry is president and Meghan is vice-president.
Meghan wore a black-and-white print maxi wrap dress by Myamiko (a fair trade brand from Malawi, one of the countries Harry will visit during the tour!) with black Castañer wedges for the outing. She and Harry hugged children and danced to music being played as they walked into Nyanga Methodist Church. And just as they did during their royal tour Down Under last year, the royal couple held hands and lovingly put their hands on each other’s backs as they moved through the event.

To kick off the third day of their royal South Africa tour, Prince Harry introduced wife Meghan Markle and his almost 5-month-old son to an old friend.
On Wednesday morning, the little royal was taken by his parents for his first official royal engagement to meet with famed anti-apartheid activist Archbishop Desmond Tutu and his daughter, Thandeka Tutu-Gxashe.
Ahead of the anticipated meeting, the couple posted several clips with Archie on the way to meet Archbishop Tutu in their Instagram Stories on their Sussex Royal account.
In the short videos, the family of three strolled along a corridor as Archie — dressed in light blue overalls from H&M and matching booties — was snuggled into his mother’s arms. Meghan looked chic in Club Monaco's Dremah Silk Dress and black pumps in the clips captioned, “Arch meets Archie!”

Baby Archie delighted on his first official outing with his parents, meeting Archbishop Desmond Tutu in Cape Town, South Africa, Wednesday. Archie was a dead ringer for dad Prince Harry when he was younger, basking in the attention. Tutu gave Archie a kiss on his forehead during the meeting, while Meghan Markle bounced Archie to keep him content. Meghan then met with an organization in the city called Mothers 2 Mothers, which trains and employs women living with HIV. Meghan Markle shared her sweet nickname for her almost 5-month-old son Archie during the little royal’s first-ever official engagement on Wednesday. Along with Prince Harry, they stepped out as a family of three to meet with South African human rights activist Archbishop Desmond Tutu and his daughter, Thandeka Tutu-Gxashe. In video from the visit, Meghan is heard calling her son “Bubba.” “Say hello! Hello, hi,” she says, then realizes he’s drooling. “Oh, Bubba!” Luckily, dad Prince Harry was ready to catch the dribble. Meghan, 38, also appeared to call her son by the name in a video shared to the couple’s Instagram Story as they walked down a corridor to meet with Archbishop Tutu.

Megs ditched the baby and the hubs and flew solo for the first time on this royal tour. For the occasion, she opted to sass up her style ever so slightly. That’s pretty cute and low-key chic. We’d have a much easier time with her preferences for black and minimalism if she chose garments with some interest to them. A royal jumpsuit is fun and unexpected. The earrings are what really make the look, though. Without them, this all might have seemed a bit too plain. It’s rare to see her in such large earrings but they look spectacular on her.
