After spending the past few days traveling to Botswana, Angola and Malawi, Prince Harry reunited with his wife and their nearly 5-month-old son, Archie, in South Africa for the final day of their royal tour. (Archie stayed behind with his trusted nanny as his royal parents kicked off their royal duties together on Wednesday.)
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex began their last day of outings the same way they started the tour — hand-in-hand. Their reunion comes one day after Harry released an emotional statement against the “ruthless” treatment he says wife Meghan Markle has received in the British tabloid press. And the couple put on a united front as they tackled the day’s events together.
Meghan, who wore a white shirt dress (her go-to style for the tour!) from Cape Town-based designer Hannah Lavery, and Harry began the last day of their tour visiting the township of Tembisa near Johannesburg, where they met inspiring local youth entrepreneurs and viewed initiatives addressing the rising unemployment challenge faced by youth in the country.
Meghan Markle has said that she is 'existing, not living' while struggling with the pressures of royal life and media scrutiny.
The Duchess opened up during an emotional interview with broadcaster Tom Bradby for a new documentary which is set to air on ITV tonight.
A new video from the documentary has emerged today which shows Harry discussing potentially leaving the UK one day to live in Africa.
Harry & Meghan: An African Journey will offer an insight into the emotional journey the 'vulnerable and bruised' royal couple have been catapulted into since their wedding while following their ten-day tour of southern Africa.
According to a recent report, Prince Harry may have denied one of wife Meghan Markle’s requests during their royal tour of Africa. The tour was a success, as they quieted the constant negative media and seemed to win over even their toughest critics. Markle had hoped to have a reception with the media during the visit but, if reports are to be believed, Prince Harry shut the idea down.

During their royal tour, Markle reportedly had hoped to contact the media and have a reception with drinks. Prince Harry didn’t allow it, however, claim royal experts.
As Prince Harry was reportedly unhappy with the media and “not enjoying himself,” he squashed Markle’s proposed idea to have an event with the press.
During an episode of the Pod Save the Queen podcast, featuring Daily Mirror royal editor Russell Myers and Daily Express royal correspondent Richard Palmer, Palmer shared that he “used to love going away with Prince Harry,” adding, “He always had a bit of banter and I just wish we could get back to that.”
He continued: “I wasn’t in Africa, but people who were there, are saying the atmosphere was dripping with poison… Meghan doesn’t really interact, but at least she seems like she’s enjoying herself and Harry just doesn’t.”
When Palmer asked: “Is it correct, that Meghan actually wanted to do some sort of drinks reception, and Harry said no?,” Myers responded, “Yes, that’s my understanding. Again, when have we ever met them, just the two of them? I find this very bizarre.”
