WATCHING your ex and the father of your child beaming into the cameras as he announces his engagement to a princess can’t be easy. But yesterday Dara Huang – former partner of Princess Beatrice’s husband-to-be Eduardo Mapelli Mozzi – responded to their happy news with a kind and classy short statement. She said: “I wish the best for Edo and Beatrice and look forward to uniting our families.” The reaction was characteristically dignified for the American architect, mum to Edo’s two-year-old son Christopher 'Woolfie' Woolf. Despite the three-year relationship ending abruptly, with Edo dating Beatrice just weeks after their split - she has stayed silent and refused to condemn her ex-fiancee. The 37-year-old didn’t even tell her mum Lily they had split – and she found out when she saw pictures of Edo and Princess Beatrice in the press. Lily claimed the break up was so unexpected that Dara ended up sleeping on a friend’s sofa but the pair have remained amicable throughout, sharing custody of their son. But perhaps the best revenge is living a fabulous life – and Dara definitely has that nailed down. One look at her Instagram, packed with exotic locations and glamorous events, is enough to leave anyone green with envy. Her business, DH Liberty, is based in London and Hong Kong, but Dara has also travelled to Thailand, Singapore, Myanmar, China and Italy in the last four months alone.

The daughter of a now-retired NASA scientist Po-Tien Huang, 80, and Lily, 69, Dara grew up in Florida and was educated at Harvard. In 2013, she set up her company, Design House Liberty (DH Liberty), which specialises in bringing architecture and high end interior design together. http://instagram.com/p/B23dWtyp73M She soon became a sought-after name with clients including Kate Spade NY, Harrods, Cartier and the Four Seasons hotel chains. Dara met Edo through her work for his property company Banda and she is still involved in many of the £100m worth of building projects the firm is currently working on. http://instagram.com/p/B2wEVR2Jk5e Millionaire property tycoon Edouardo popped the question in 2015 and she set about planning a lavish society wedding with an impressive guest list that included Edo’s Royal friends. But, soon after the birth of baby Woolfie, Dara was “unceremoniously dumped” by Edo, according to sources close to the couple. http://instagram.com/p/B1bUxH_pvJc

We’re all very happy for Princess Beatrice, but there are a few facts about Mozzi that have given fans pause. Radar Online reports Mozzi was once engaged to Dara Huang, and their engagement lasted for three years. A source told the publication that Mozzi appeared to pursue a relationship with Beatrice even when he was still living at home with Huang, too. Not only that, but Huang and Mozzi have a son, Christopher, who goes by the nickname “Wolfie.”
So, how does Huang feel about this new relationship for Mozzi? We’re not sure, as a source told Radar, “Dara has not commented on anything and is refusing to speak to the press. She doesn’t want to say anything publicly at this stage. Her only concern is for the welfare of their son.”
It looks like Princess Beatrice is getting well-acquainted with Mozzi’s son, too. People reports she, Mozzi, and Wolfie have already gone on vacations together, and she’s taking her new role of step-mother quite seriously.
Everyone’s wondering whether Huang will appear at the wedding, as she plays a significant role in Mozzi’s life considering she’s the mother of his son. According to The Daily Express, there’s a good chance she’ll make an appearance. It seems she and Mozzi have an amicable relationship, and she even reached out to congratulate the couple. “I wish the best for Edo and Beatrice and look forward to uniting our families,” she told The Daily Mail.
Not only that, but The Daily Express reports The Daily Mail found Huang is taking etiquette lessons in preparation for the big day. “Her friend Myka Meier, who runs the New York-based business Beaumont Etiquette, visited London this week and showed Dara how to cross her legs in a lady-like, elegant fashion,” columnist Richard Eden said. “Dara practiced inclining her legs in what’s known as the ‘duchess slant’, then confided in friends: ‘It really does look better.’”
It seems Wolfie is also taking etiquette lessons to prepare for his role as best man. We can’t wait to hear more about the wedding prep as the big day draws nearer!

Mr Mozzi was previously engaged to Dara Huang, with whom he has a son, Christopher. As reported by the Mail on Sunday, Ms Huang has given up bread, pasta and potatoes. She took to Instagram last week to declare: “Dear carbs, I miss you so much.” Beatrice will be the sixth of the Queen’s eight grandchildren to marry with Mrs Huang reported to have received an invitation. As Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn are both under 18, when she marries Mr Mozzi, all of the Queen’s adult grandchildren will have married.
