Miranda Lambert wants to know about the first responder you're proud of. The "Bluebird" singer says she'll celebrate one first responder each night during upcoming American Wildcard Tour stops with Cody Johnson and Lanco. The tour begins Thursday (Jan. 16) in Tupelo, Miss., and has dates through February, with two additional shows in late April before six Canadian dates in May.  The idea to recognize a local first responder came when her husband Brendan McLoughlin was recognized by New York City radio show host Kelly Ford on New York's Country 94.7. Lambert interviewed McLoughlin during that First Responder Friday and the audience learned he comes from a long line of police officers. "I make it a point every time we go to a different city — See a cop, 'thank you,'" McLoughlin shared during that interview. "Military vet, 'Thank you.' I feel like everyone should do that." |

#MirandaLambert fell hard for #husband Brendan McLoughlin but she says there was one thing that could have come between them.
Miranda Lambert officially announced that she is once again launching her MuttNation's Fill the Little Red Wagon campaign in partnership with Tractor Supply, as part of her Wildcard Tour. The Fill the Little Red Wagon initiative provides a place for fans to bring food, treats, supplies and cash donations for animals in each tour spot, with the donations given to a local shelter in each city where Lambert performs.
"Fill the Little Red Wagon is one my favorite MuttNation programs," Lambert said in a statement. "It lets me combine my music with mutts by working with a shelter in every town we play. Shelters always need help and, with the support of my fans, volunteers, Tractor Supply and Live Nation, we’ve collected literally tons of food, toys and supplies for mutts nationwide."
"Our team at Tractor Supply is so excited to be a part of Fill the Little Red Wagon with Miranda and MuttNation as she takes her Wildcard tour out on the road," said Nicole Logan, vice president and divisional merchandise manager at Tractor Supply. "Supporting animal shelters across the country is a cause we’re passionate about at Tractor Supply, and we hope all the fans will bring a donation with them to the show."

Miranda Lambert has canceled her concert at Vivint Smart Home Arena scheduled for Friday night due to illness.
The concert, part of Lambert’s Wildcard Tour, has been rescheduled to Feb. 25, according to a news release from the arena.
All tickets from tonight’s concert will be honored at the Feb. 25 show. The supporting acts that were scheduled for tonight, Cody Johnson and Lanco, will also perform at the rescheduled concert.
In a statement posted on Twitter, Lambert said she will rest on Friday and hope to be well enough to play a concert in Denver tomorrow.
“I’ve been doing everything in my power to be 100% but my voice is just not there. Not even close,” she said. “Thanks for understanding and please know that my heart is broken over this.”

Miranda Lambert is the reason Blake Shelton recorded ‘Home’
The Michael Bublé cover released by Shelton in 2008 was an instant hit. It was Shelton’s fourth number one song. Lambert and Shelton were together at that point, although they weren’t married yet. Either way, Lambert is one hundred percent responsible for the hit.
“Home” as Bublé sang it isn’t exactly in Shelton’s wheelhouse. He’s straight country, and that’s usually what he listens to. Lambert, on the other hand, is open to listening to other musical styles.
She also happened to be the only one in the Lambert-Shelton household who knew how to put music on an iPod.
Shelton asked her to load up his iPod with some of his faves, but she took some liberties. “I asked her to put John Conlee and the Bellamy Brothers’ greatest hits on there. When I got to the bus, I had Michael Bublé on it. I had no idea who that was.”
Lambert put a few of her non-country favorites on as well, but Shelton only connected with the Bublé hit. “If you look at my iPod now, there’s other things on it, like Coldplay, the Gorillaz and other crap that I’ve never heard of. That shows you the power of ‘Home,’ because most of that stuff, I won’t even give it a chance.”

The song “Home” was on the second release of Shelton’s popular Pure BS album. The album was originally released in 2007, and debuted at number two on the album charts. That’s what makes the success of “Home” even more impressive.
Despite the fact that the album was incredibly successful in 2007, Shelton gambled that he could make it even better. And his version of “Home” did just that. Not only did Lambert introduce Shelton to the original, but she also collaborated with him on his cover.

Oh yes. It was Miranda Lambert talking about how she approached her new album Wildcard a lot like her debut album Kerosene.
During her rare, hour-long conversation at the annual Country Radio Seminar on Wednesday (Feb. 19), Lambert reflected on all the music she’s made since she signed her major label record deal. And how it wasn’t all No. 1 hits right out of the gate.
“I didn’t have my first No. 1 until ’White Liar,'” she said of the song off her 2009 album, a good four years after her debut. “I think with Revolution, I realized that I was connecting with people. And I knew at the time, if I don’t break through on this one, I never will. I sold over a million copies of Kerosene and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and didn’t have a song go past 12. I really needed this to happen. I remember feeling I really need this now. I got my foot in the door and thanked everyone for appreciating more than just my fiesty side.
“It’s interesting because I’ve had a career based on songs, not hits. The crowd doesn’t know that ’Gunpowder’ was 9 and ’Wagon’ was 11. Nor do they care. Nor do I care. As long as they hear it, then that helps everybody. I can’t play shows if I’m not heard. I need them to hear new music, because they’ve seen me several times. When they’re weighing out, ’Do I go see Luke Combs or Miranda? I’ve seen her several times.’ He’s new and he’s great. And they only have money for one ticket,” she said. “It’s nice to have a new song — or seven — you can promote. That helps.”
When the conversation turned to meeting her heroes, Lambert said she’d had a long list, and by now she’s met almost of all of them. But this one time was almost too much. “Singing with Loretta (Lynn) was very emotional for me. I cut a song with her and Sheryl Crow, and I cried all day. I just couldn’t believe I was going to be with the two of them all day. Loretta sat with me in her kitchen and told me real stories about her life. I’ll never forget that day.”
Then there was the first time Lambert met Dolly Parton. And the advice Parton gave her. “I walked in the room when we were filming something for ’Dumplin’ and she turned me around and said, ’Find your good light.’ That was the first thing she every said to me. That was already great advice.
