Russian figure skater Veronika Zhilina won the girls' competition at the third stage of the Junior Grand Prix series, which takes place in Kosice (Slovakia).
Zhilina took second place after the short program, but in an arbitrary rental she surpassed the result of her compatriot Sofia Muravyova by almost 10 points and bypassed her in the final standings. Both figure skaters train at the Angels of Plushenko Academy. The third place was taken by Adelia Petrosyan, who studies under the guidance of Eteri Tutberidze.
The pupil of Anna Tsareva, Maria Zakharova, became the fifth in the free program, but at the end of the tournament she retained the fourth position.
