This was Prince Harry's highly-anticipated day in court - and by the end he sounded increasingly weary, but still doggedly sticking to his arguments.
There were no clear-cut knock-out arguments, no courtroom fireworks, no angry outbursts - instead it was a rather intense stalemate.
When Prince Harry was asked whether he thought the disputed news stories were based on unlawfully gathered information - he said why not ask the journalists who wrote them.
Prince Harry emerged from court so far unscathed, got into his car and was driven away into the London streets, where he says he never feels able to walk.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be missing from the big royal event on Saturday.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not been invited to Trooping the Colour, the annual public celebration of the British monarch's birthday. This year will mark the first time the event, which dates back to the 1600s, has taken place during the reign of Harry's father, King Charles. For the last 70 years, when Queen Elizabeth was on the throne, it was known as the Queen’s Birthday Parade.
