The U.S. ice dance pair of Madison Chock and Evan Bates won gold to successfully defend their crown at the ISU Four Continents figure skating championships 2020 here on Friday. Chock and Bates, who claimed the gold at last year's event, sealed the win with a total score of 213.18 points. Canada's Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier earned the silver medal with 210.18 points. Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue of the United States, who finished first in the rhythm dance, slipped to the third on 208.72 points after underperforming in the free dance. China's rising stars Wang Shiyue and Liu Xinyu were fourth with 196.75 points, while fellow Chinese pair Chen Hong and Sun Zhuoming came 10th with 158.70 points.
