Demi Lovato is owning a slippery tumble she took over the holiday weekend.
The former "X Factor" judge shared a slow-motion Instagram video of her pooslide slip at KIIS FM's summer pool party, which took place at the WaterMarke Tower in downtown L.A. on Sunday. She also managed to promote her newly released upbeat single "Cool for the Summer" in the process.
Lovato, 22, who was wearing sky-high neon platforms while performing, lost her footing and face-planted — hard — on the wet stage. But the smiling pro picked herself right back up and promptly leaped into the adjacent pool. Hey, the party must go on!
Last week the world was introduced to Demi Lovato's new sound via the delicious pop tune, "Cool for the Summer." It was a little bit Katy, a little bit Taylor and a whole lot of Demi...plus some Halsey for an edgy flair. The world (and radio waves) instantly became better for it. Today, our pop princess has delivered a lyric video for the single, and it's every bit as tasty as you'd imagine.
Demi Lovato has swooped in as the new headliner for the MLB All-Star Game concert on Saturday night (July 11), replacing previously announced headliner Ariana Grande at Cincinnati's Great American Ball Park. The MLB has yet to issue a statement on the change, and neither Lovato nor Grande have posted about it on social media. A rep for Lovato confirmed to Billboard that she is indeed performing at the star-studded baseball game on Saturday night.
Grande is currently facing backlash for a bizarre video in which she declares "I hate America" in a donut shop. No word on whether her removal from her the All-Star Game concert was the result of that controversy. Meanwhile, Lovato recently returned to music with new single "Cool For The Summer," which she performed for the first time last week in New York. The track precedes Lovato's forthcoming fifth album.
Grande’s performance will be replaced by a show from Demi Lovato instead. “I’m so excited to be headlining the MLB All-Star Concert,” the singer told E! News. “I hope my fans in Cincinnati are ready to get ‘Cool for the Summer!'” Major League Baseball’s COO Tony Petitti shared in Lovato’s excitement. Demi Lovato is one of today’s best young artists and we know she will provide fans with a fantastic experience they won’t soon forget. We’re disappointed that Ariana Grande cannot partake in the All-Star festivities, but wish her a speedy recovery.
She insisted she's not engaged to her boyfriend of five years after setting tongues wagging over the weekend with a series of cryptic social media posts. But Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama were the picture of happiness as they stepped out hand-in-hand in Vancouver, Canada, on Sunday for romantic stroll. The 22-year-old singer and her actor beau - who is 13 years her senior - looked content and relaxed, in spite of recent scrutiny of their relationship status.
Dressed in a casual ensemble of form-fitting blue jeans, a plunging V-neck grey T-shirt which exposed a glimpse of her bra, and thong-style sandals, Demi looked cool and casual for the pair's day out. The pop princess cut a low-key figure, opting to wear minimal make-up, a natural hairstyle and a pair of blue mirrored aviator sunglasses. She held onto Wilmer's hand and carried shopping bags and her adorable pet dog Buddy's lead with the other as they strolled through the downtown area of Vancouver.

She's known as much for her on-point fashion style as she is her hit-records. So it was little surprise to see Demi Lovato putting on a sizzling sartorial appearance as she arrived at the BBC Radio 1 studios, in London, early on Monday morning.
Following her powerhouse pop performance at the station's Teen Awards the day before, the 23-year-old Cool For The Summer singer dazzled in a glamorous two-tone bustier and pencil skirt.
