LIVE 🔴 | Short Program | ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships | CORONAVIRUS UPDATE While we are looking forward to welcoming 23 teams from 18 different countries to next week’s ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships® 2020, we are also closely following the reports regarding the COVID-19 coronavirus. This is still a rapidly evolving situation, which the World Health Organisation (WHO) and Public Health England (PHE) are monitoring carefully and we are continuing to regularly check PHE and WHO websites to ensure that we are up-to-date with their recommendations. One important update this week is that the Government has decided it is not currently necessary to stop large scale public gatherings or events taking place in the UK, so we’re pleased to confirm the ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships® 2020 will proceed as planned. Free Skating | ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships | All competitors, officials, volunteers and staff travelling to the UK will receive a health questionnaire to complete and advice before they leave their respective countries to travel to the UK. When they arrive in the UK and before they pass through the venue’s accreditation process, follow up travel screening will take place in isolated areas. Be rest assured we have relevant measures in place and should any event participants show signs of illness, they will be sent for immediate medical attention and kept away from the venue. We encourage all event participants attendees to take care of their health and the health of others by following the recommended guidelines as outlined by Public Health England. LIVE đź”´ | Free Skating | ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships | #SynchroSkating Russia won gold and silver medals in the short programme at the International Skating Union (ISU) World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships as Team Junost Junior won their fourth world junior title at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham in the United Kingdom. Very little separated first and second in the end with Junost finishing just 0.16 points ahead of their compatriots and national rivals, Team Crystal Ice Junior on a score of 76.09. Finland and Canada came in next in sets of two with the Finnish team of Team Fintastic Junior securing the bronze just over two points behind the Russians. The next Finnish team, Team Mystique Junior, were a clear fourth place a distance behind the bronze medal as well as comfortably ahead of Canada's Team Nexxice Junior in fifth place. Team Les Supremes Junior, also hailing from Canada, were sixth ahead of Sweden's Team Seaside Junior in seventh with the top host team, Britain's Team Icicles Junior, finishing in 11th. Tomorrow the Championships are due to conclude with the free skating.

Finland's Team Fintastic Junior claimed gold at the International Skating Union (ISU) World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships, overturning the day one lead of two Russian teams at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham in the United Kingdom. Sitting in third on day one, Fintastic dramatically won by just 0.71 points with a total score over the past two days of 205.94 ahead of yesterday's leaders, Team Junost Junior from Russia. Junost's closest rivals yesterday were their compatriots, Team Crystal Ice Junior who held on to the bronze medal by a narrow margin - 0.04 points ahead of the other Finnish side, Team Mystique Junior with a score of 200.09. Canadian teams Nexxice Junior and Les Supremes Junior finished fifth and sixth ahead of Sweden's Team Spirit Junior and Team Seaside Junior to round off the top eight, with the top performance from the hosts, Team Icicles Junior finishing in 10th.

Nexxice, from Burlington, Ont., and Les Suprêmes, from St-Léonard, Que., placed fifth and sixth on Saturday at the ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships. Fintastic, from Finland, climbed from third after Friday’s short program, to win the gold medal. Junost, from Russia, was second and their compatriots Crystal Ice were third. The Canadian teams kept their same plaings as after the short. There were 19 teams. Nexxice skaters were: Christina Au; Ninna Blom; Savanna Bosco; Kayleigh Cheung; Avery Clark; Alice Douplik; Vasiliki Kiriakou; Cassandra Leung; Natalie Leung; Kathyn Mallott; Abbey McMurray; Victoria Morgado; Noora Naatsari; Mya Napier; Matilda Nilsson; Soomin Oh; Miriam Pedrozo; Beatrice Sassi and Angela Yang. skatecanada.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/LesSupremes-JR-768x433.jpgNexxice improved on last year’s eighth place finish. “We showed what fighters we are,” said Clark. “We had to overcome a lot this season and it hasn’t been easy.
