Happiness isn't something Selena Gomez sits back and waits for! On Thursday (March 26), the superstar unveiled the music video for Rare fan-favorite track "Dance Again."
In the clip, Gomez twirls, struts and bobs around a giant stage as she performs the empowering track in an empty theater. "I kick start the rhythm/ All the drama's in remission/ No, I don't need permission/ Feels so, feels so, feels so good to dance again," she declares, showing off her curly mane of raven locks and silky white slip dress as spotlights dance across the stage.
The pop star also announced upon the video's release that she'll be donating a portion of proceeds from her new "Dance Again" merch to the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund in conjunction with Interscope Records and Bravado.
The sparkling track is featured on Gomez's third No. 1 album Rare, which also features hit singles "Lose You to Love Me," "Look At Her Now" and the title track.
Selena Gomez's "Lose You to Love Me" and Harry Styles's "Falling" are heartbreaking songs on their own. Combined, they're pretty much emotionally unbearable. The Youtube account Deep End Mashups recently shared a song that seamlessly merges the slower songs off both artists' most recent albums — Rare and Fine Line, respectively.
Gomez and Styles have yet to collaborate or work together in any capacity, but perhaps this mashup, which already has over half a million views, can do a little convincing. Listen to it above, preferably as you dramatically stare out a window. Just a suggestion.
As the face of Puma, fashion-y athleisure is kind of Selena Gomez's thing. And now that athleisure is all that anyone on the entire earth is wearing (because, you know, coronavirus), the singer is truly living in her most authentic form.
Last night, Sel shared a candid snapshot of her social distancing life, wearing a plush coordinating set that looks like a lazy girl DREAM. The look felt totally #relatable, thanks to the hottest social distancing accessories (which I, too, have been wearing on repeat): an unwashed ponytail and a spare hair tie around the wrist. Fashun.
Selena says that she's been killing time the same way you have: Netflix, podcasts, and trying to take cute at-home Instagram content. She laughed next to an impressive spread of comfort food (mac and cheese! green beans! barbecue!) that makes my cup of microwave ramen look... well, like microwave ramen.
