EVANESCENCE - "Lacrymosa" Synthesis Live DVD Amy Lee leaves everything on stage in an exceptional live performance of "Lacrymosa". Video recording is on the new Evanescence DVD, "Synthesis Live". " Lacrymosa," the song included on Evanescence's second studio album, " The Open Door," is presented to the public in a live, re-written version. On this version, we hear the elements of Mozart's composition even more seriously, so the song gets even more depth. This version of "Lacrymosa" is included on the DVD "Synthesis Live", which Evanescence will release on October 12th. Fans will be able to listen to all the other tracks on the album "Synthesis", LP which includes hits of the band, but two new songs.

Evanescence have confirmed new music for 2019. The band additionally say that their forthcoming release will be a follow-up to 2011’s self-titled record.
According to an interview with 93.3 WMMR Rocks!, frontwoman Amy Lee says that her and the rest of the band are all on board to go back to their roots.
“We all really wanna do it,” Lee says. “And it’s not one of those things where it’s, like, ‘Someday, maybe we’ll do something again.’ Everybody’s on board, and we’re getting together to do a few shows next year in [the self-titled] style — partially because I think it’ll be good for us to get back to that root, just get back to playing Evanescence-style rock and roll and just jive together again.”

EVANESCENCE singer Amy Lee has confirmed to the 93.3 WMMR Rocks! radio station that the band will soon begin work on the follow-up to 2011's self-titled effort. "We all really wanna do it," she said (hear audio below). "And it's not one of those things where it's, like, 'Someday, maybe we'll do something again.' Everybody's onboard, and we're getting together to do a few shows next year in [the rock] style — partially because I think it'll be good for us to get back to that root, just get back to playing EVANESCENCE-style rock and roll and just jive together again." She continued: "I really love my band; I really hanging out with them; and I really like making music with them. When we get together, a lot of times, it's just that we're just starting out some big tour, so it's a lot of rehearsing and remembering and repeating. But we're filled, as we hang out and play together, with ideas and inspiration that we don't really have time on a show day to get together and jam and flesh out any ideas. So I think it's gonna be cool that instead of getting on a long tour, next year is sort of an open year for getting inspired and being creative and getting together to play a few shows also. So we have the time to get together and feel each other, be a band, but also there's room all around us for us to go, 'Okay. That was fun. I've got an idea. How about next week? Is everybody free? Let's get together. Let's jam. Let's see how it goes.' Because we can. So I'm looking forward to that. The timeline is just that. We're gonna really spend next year trying to focus on figuring out exactly what we want it to sound like, trying to write some songs and see what happens. So, I don't know… We're just gonna be working on it next year. Hopefully by the end… I'm sure by the end of the year, we'll kind of know what's going on. [Laughs]"

Not even Amy Lee couldn’t resist the latest TikTok challenge, especially since Evanescence is part of it. After seeing kids “eat” their fingers to “Bring Me To Life,” the singer decided to try it for herself. Watch the video of her doing the challenge below! The latest challenge that’s taking over TikTok sounds risky but it’s actually way safer than some other things the internet tried in the past few years—yes, we are talking about eating tide pods and the Bird Box challenge. That’s because in the #eatingfingers challenge, people are only pretending to eat their fingers. As Time notes, TikTok users are using the app’s mirror effect to create an optical illusion. The result makes it seem like they’re chewing their fingers. Oh, and there’s more. The soundtrack is Evanescence’s “Bring Me To Life,” but not the original song. Rather, it’s the Kidz Bop rendition of the classic track. Yes, it’s just as good as it sounds.
