“Sending my love and prayers to anyone who is struggling and reading this. What is going on is devastating. This has caused so many people their lives, health, jobs, etc. It’s amazing seeing how many people have been working so hard to fight this and be in this together. Count your blessings, it’s a good time for some of us to reflect on life and be grateful for everything we have. Stay at home as much as possible and follow the safety rules. We’ll get through this”. wrote Anisimova on Instagram. Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova: If it is necessary to play in December I will be ready Besides the above message, Anisimova encouraged people to stay at home during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic by joining Nike’s new ad campaign. “If you ever dreamed of playing for millions around the world, now is your chance,” the ad reads. “Play inside, play for the world”. Other famous world-class athletes like Tiger Woods, Cristiano Ronaldo, Simona Halep, Maria Sharapova have joined the brand’s latest campaign, as well. http://instagram.com/p/B9-jc1lJwCB With not much to do during the global sporting shutdown, many star athletes are spending a lot of time on social media. And that includes Nick Kyrgios. http://instagram.com/p/B-KtC3OJaag 'ALL OVER': Eddie McGuire's stunning admission after AFL suspension Just a few days after responding to Eugenie Bouchard’s boyfriend ‘call-out’ on Twitter, Kyrgios sent a cheeky message to another female tennis star. Kyrgios took a cheeky dig at former doubles partner Amanda Anisimova on Instagram after the American posted a photo in a bikini, writing: “When your backyard is a beach #quarantine”. http://instagram.com/p/B94vo6aJBKv Kyrgios saw Anisimova’s pic and cheekily replied: “Stay inside silly.” The Aussie was referencing the fact that nearly a third of the world’s population are in lockdown, with governments urging the public to stay inside and only leave the house when absolutely necessary. While Kyrgios was probably joking, a number of other Instagram followers appeared to seriously question Anisimova’s actions.

With the current suspension of the ATP and WTA Tours, we are opening up our US Open vault to bring you full match video of classic matches through the years in New York.
The future is now for the next generation of American women's tennis. Coco Gauff, 16, is a household name even outside of tennis circles, while Amanda Anisimova, 18, is a Grand Slam semifinalist with a career-high WTA ranking of No. 21.
But in 2017, both young women were still rising juniors, raising their games in New York to reach the girls' single final at their home Slam. Anisimova had turned 16 earlier in the tournament, while eighth-grader Gauff was 13.
In their only junior or pro meeting to date, Anisimova required 10 match points in a 28-point final game to secure the title in the Grandstand.
"I'll definitely be back here," Gauff foretold in her post-match press conference.
Anismova had previously reached a high of No. 2 in the ITF World Junior Rankings in 2016, while Gauff went on to become the youngest-ever junior world No. 1 in 2018 behind a junior French Open title.
