Lady Gaga is to curate One World: Together at Home, a live-streamed and televised benefit concert in support of the World Health Organization’s Covid-19 solidarity response fund and in celebration of health workers around the world. The lineup includes Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas, Lizzo, J Balvin, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Alanis Morissette, Burna Boy, Andrea Bocelli, Chris Martin of Coldplay, Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam, Elton John, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban and Lang Lang. The US talk show hosts Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert will host the event, which broadcasts live across the US television networks ABC, CBS and NBC, as well as being streamed online, at 8pm EST on 18 April. BBC One will show an adapted version of the concert on 19 April, including exclusive performances from UK artists and interviews with frontline health workers. The details of the broadcast are yet to be announced. Other celebrities expected to appear include David Beckham, Idris and Sabrina Elba, Kerry Washington, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Shah Rukh Khan and Sesame Street cast members. The WHO and the social action platform Global Citizen have partnered to produce the event. The latter’s Together at Home series, launched last month, has featured performances from artists in isolation including Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello and Rufus Wainwright. In a WHO press conference, Lady Gaga said she had helped to raise $35m (£28m) for Global Citizen in the past week. She clarified that One World was not a fundraising telethon and would focus on entertainment and messages of solidarity, with philanthropists and businesses urged to donate to the Covid-19 solidarity response fund ahead of the event. The WHO’s general director, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said: “We may have to be apart physically for a little while, but we can still come together virtually to enjoy great music. The One World: Together at Home concert represents a powerful show of solidarity against a common threat.”

When Lady Gaga appeared via FaceTime on Jimmy Fallon‘s The Tonight Show “from home” on April 1, it made for the most awkward interview ever! The singer was super distracted and talking to her assistants, sometimes not even realizing they were on TV. Then her interview abruptly ended when she told Jimmy “I just can’t talk right now,” as phones could be heard going off on her end of the line. A source close to the “Shallow” hitmaker told HollywoodLife exclusively that she wasn’t too stressed about how her awkward interview was received. “‘Stefani (Lady Gaga) isn’t really stressing about the reaction her interview with Jimmy Fallon got because she is going to use it to her advantage when she goes on again,” they dished.
The source added, “First she is going to laugh about it all and then talk about what she is going to do for those affected by Corona. She is looking to raise money and she will deliver all the details on how she is going to do that when she talks to Jimmy again and she actually thinks more people will be tuned in to see what she will do because so many people were interested in her non interview.” The source said Gaga was hoping it would work to her advantage. “It might get more eyeballs on this new interview. That is what she is hoping for to come out of everything.”
A second source revealed that the A Star Is Born actress was loving spending her time in quarantine with new boyfriend Michael Polansky. “Stef has been busy but still taking time to have wonderful downtime with Michael. They are really getting to know each other more and this has been a really nice test to their relationship that they are embracing and learning from day by day,” they told HL. “She seems pretty happy and chill right now.”
The source added, “It was an easy decision to self quarantine together because Gaga and Michael had already been inseparable before the stay at home order even began. Although they’ve only been dating for a few months, they obviously have such a strong connection.” Romance rumors first began swirling when Gaga was seen with Michael out and about in Miami during pre-Super Bowl and post-Super Bowl festivities in February. They were also spotted before that in Las Vegas on Dec. 30 and on New Year’s Eve.

Like in her song “Telephone,” Lady Gaga was k-kinda busy during her previous interview with Jimmy Fallon.
Last Wednesday, the singer was supposed to go on the “Tonight Show” with a big announcement, and the whole thing went south quickly.
“I can’t, Jimmy. I can’t talk right now,” Gaga said during the call, adding, “Am I on TV?”
The “Stupid Love” singer then changed the call to Friday, before calling back and changing it again to Monday.
On Monday, true to her word, Gaga showed up.
“I’m so sorry,” Gaga said with a laugh. “We weren’t quite ready yet, and I really appreciate you being so nice about it. And thank you, and I love you. I love your viewers and everyone at home watching. I just wish everybody well.”
By the time of the call, the big news was already revealed: Lady Gaga would be coordinating a massive COVID-19 benefit special with Global Citizen and the World Health Organization called “One World: Together at Home.” It will stream on basically every major service April 18.
Gaga then dished the deets, saying the event will include athletes, actors, “Sesame Street” characters and more. Plus, it’ll be hosted by a late night holy trinity: the triple trifecta of Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert.
“Especially in this time, I don’t think there is an NBC, a CBS, ABC ratings thing. It doesn’t matter at this point,” Fallon said. “It’s about entertaining and getting out there and telling everybody and reassuring everyone and spreading kindness and saying, ‘Hey we’re in this. Let’s help each other when we can.’”
Hear all about it below, and give everyone participating in the special some applause, applause, applause.

Lady Gaga has been applauded by LGBT+ fans after an old video of her expertly shutting down probing questions about her genitals went viral.
The clip is taken from a 60 Seconds interview that originally aired in 2011.
At the time Gaga’s genitals were, for some reason, fodder for internet rumours and gossip, prompting Cooper to ask her outright whether she had a penis.
The singer popped a diamond in her mouth (because Gaga) and replied: “Maybe I do. Would it be so terrible?
“Why the hell am I going to waste my time and give a press release about whether or not I have a penis? My fans don’t care and neither do I.”
