Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello invited fans into their cozy piano room for a beautiful rendition of Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World" during Saturday night's (April 18) One World: Together at Home benefit concert. The couple sat side-by-side on the piano bench, with Mendes playing the keys and both singers trading off vocals, occasionally offering some gorgeously harmonized runs. They even offered up some altered lyrics to the classic song to match our current climate, reassuring viewers: "It's still a wonderful world." They set a beautiful scene around the piano, with candles burning to create a soothing mood. Lady Gaga curated the night's all-star lineup, which also includes Taylor Swift, John Legend, Paul McCartney and more. The World Health Organization and Global Citizen teamed up for their massive worldwide special to support and applaud healthcare workers in the fight against COVID-19.

One of the best parts of the virtual One World: Together at Home benefit concert was none other than musical icon Taylor Swift. Not only was it a complete thrill to see her singing and playing in front of some of the most gorgeous wallpaper I've ever seen—Did she paint it herself? fans wondered—but she actually performed a song she said she wouldn't perform. And yet, not only did she sing the song, she did it live for the benefit, which honors those who are suffering and those who are supporting during the COVID-19 pandemic. In case you missed it, this is one of Swift's most personal songs (and probably the saddest) off of Lover. The original track features the Dixie Chicks. It's an ode to her mom, who's battling cancer, and is the most personal she's gotten about her thoughts about it. She has said it's been one of the most difficult to write and even has a hard time hearing it—much less performing it. Fans thought they might never hear it live. Swift fans informed the world that this is apparently this is the first time she has performed the song. Fans were even more floored at her vulnerability—choosing this moment to share this song with the world, when it's clearly so hard for her, but understanding what her audience (and the world) needs. She was somber throughout the performance and even sounded close to tears at one point, but got through it like an absolute champ.

Billie Eilish is giving fans an intimate performance from her home to benefit coronavirus relief efforts. On Saturday, the singer, 18, sang Bobby Hebb’s “Sunny” with her brother Finneas at the piano during the One World: Together at Home special, which will raise awareness through the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund to support local and regional charities providing food, shelter and healthcare to those in need amid the ongoing health crisis. “I love this song,” Eilish said before she began to sing. “It’s always warmed my heart and made me feel good and I wanted to make you guys feel good.” After her performance, Eilish added, “Sending our love to you and I want to thank all the healthcare workers risking their lives for ours.” Lady Gaga, who curated the special, previously revealed that she and Global Citizen have already raised $35 million for the World Health Organization.
