Britain’s Got Talent 8pm, ITV The 2020 edition of Simon Cowell’s variety talent show has been beset with problems: first, an underwater magic trick threatened to go horribly wrong during a live audition in Manchester in February; and now with the nation in coronavirus lockdown, the live elimination rounds have been indefinitely delayed. Yet, the (pre-filmed) shows must go on, and so Simon, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams all return to try to take our minds off the chaos with their dose of reality TV competition. Amanda Holden, 49, returned this evening for this year’s Britain’s Got Talent alongside fellow judges Simon Cowell, 60, David Walliams, 48, and Alesha Dixon, 41. With the auditions underway, a whole manner of variety acts showcased what they had to offer, from singers to dancers and magic acts. However, it seems the winner has already been found as the judge dropped a huge revelation just minutes into the ITV premiere. The winner of the series will actually be determined later this year when the live shows finally air due to the current coronavirus outbreak. It should also be known the judges don’t actually have a hand in who is crowned champion, with the viewing public voting for who should walk away with the £250,000 cash prize and a spot on the coveted Royal Variety Show. Though one of the first acts from tonight’s episode left the judges on their feet and in awe of what the performers were able to do. With the final already in her sights, Amanda may have got a little over-excited as she pinned them as the victors. Taking to the stage to kick start the auditions were St Anne’s Gospel Choir from London, a group made up of 81 girls from the school, aged between 11-35. Performing a rendition of chart-topper Emeli Sandé’s Shine, they truly wowed the audience and the judges alike with their sensational vocals. This lead to a standing ovation from all four panellists and beginning the feedback, Alesha said: “I love nothing more than young people standing up there doing something really positive and I felt that energy from every single one of you." David added: “You did yourselves incredibly proud today, well done,” before Amanda dropped the winner bombshell.

BRITAIN’s Got Talent winner Susan Boyle has proved she’s still a singing sensation - after banking nearly £2 million last year. Susan, 59, who appeared in the contest 10 years ago, is sole director of four companies which handle the income from her records, gigs and TV appearances. Her main company Duil Limited generated over £1.2million in the past year, while two other firms Speur Business banked £463,000 and Speur Ltd cashed in £127,000, up from £22,500 the year before. A fourth company, Speur Films, which was set up to deal with funds from a Hollywood film about her life banked £91,000, amid news a TV company picked up the rights to her biography at the end of last year. Speaking about the movie, which has taken years to get off the ground, Susan has said: “It’ll be an adaptation of the book and it’s being made into a TV film or Netflix film. “It’s to come out very soon. It’s going to be very good."

Magicians are always popular acts on the show and we've seen some really incredible ones through the years, but Sean Heydo may have just taken the standard card trick to a whole new level.
He began by getting Ant & Dec to pick a card and place it face down in his deck. Then, after walking out on stage, he asked Simon to randomly think of a card in his head, promising it would be the one that he'd put face down with Ant & Dec. He then gets the judges to shuffle the deck.
Next, Sean gets the judges to take out their phones and place the screen on the table.
In order to reveal the card that Simon picked, Sean reveals he must travel back in time by nine minutes, meet Ant & Dec once again and select the card that Simon told him he picked. We won't spoil what happens, but we'll say he appears to do just that.

Rather than performing a routine card trick we've seen a million times before, Sean Heydon took it to the next level and turned back the time on everyone's mobile phone. The mind-boggling act had everybody scratching their heads, even Ant and Dec, who both pulled their phones out of their pockets to find that they'd been done, too. So impressed by the trick, lead judge Simon Cowell stated that 'magic is real'. The 36-year-old performer came onto the stage and headed down to the judges' table, telling them that prior to the trick he had asked Ant and Dec to pick out a card and place it face down in the deck.
