Metallica, like most of the music industry right now, is off the road. To help fans pass the time, they are introducing #MetallicaMondays on their YouTube and Facebook page every Monday night at 8 PM EST. Each Monday, they will post a set in its entirety. It is a neat idea, and this week the boys present their show from Munich from May 31st, 2015. A good set featuring a ton of great, older Metallica songs await us tonight. Check out the full set list from the show below. Metallica Set List May 31st, 2015 Fuel For Whom the Bell Tolls Metal Militia King Nothing Disposable Heroes The Unforgiven II Cyanide Lords of Summer Sad But True The Frayed Ends of Sanity One Master of Puppets Fight Fire with Fire Welcome Home (Sanitarium) Seek and Destroy ENCORE Creeping Death Nothing Else Matters Enter Sandman This may be the best set they have posted so far during these Monday events. There are some great old cuts here, including "Metal Militia", "Frayed Ends of Sanity", and "Fight Fire With Fire". Anytime we get more tracks off Kill Em' All is a great night in my book. Be sure to tune in tonight and enjoy a classic Metallica set that a fan of any age can enjoy. Donate if You Can "While we're all doing our part and staying home, we find ourselves missing live music, so how about we dive back into a few of our favorite shows at a socially responsible distance? Not to sound too cheesy, but now more than ever, we're in this together, and staying connected is how we'll get through it. With that in mind, we're bringing a series of Live Metallica shows right to your couch!" During every single one of these Metallica live shows, the band is accepting donations to its All Within My Hands foundation. Especially now, programs like these are in need as they do their part to help provide meals, personal protection equipment, band crews who are out of work, and more with relief. Metallica have been sharing full concerts every week as part of their #MetallicMondays series to help tide fans over while the touring industry remains shut down.
The latest upload captures the band’s headlining performance at the Outside Lands Festival on August 12th, 2017, at Golden Gate Park in their hometown of San Francisco. The full performance begins streaming at Monday, April 13th, at 8:00 p.m. ET. “We’re celebrating Golden Gate Park’s 150th birthday with tonight’s edition of #MetallicaMondays!” the band tweeted.
With Outside Lands becoming a destination festival and annual mainstay in the Bay Area, it only made sense for Metallica to headline three times: 2012, 2015, and 2017. Each appearance brought a welcome dose of thrash metal to the fest’s typically indie and pop-oriented curation.
Coming on the heels of 2016’s Hardwired…To Self-Destruct, the 18-song setlist from 2017 was heavy on metal from that album. However, at least one song from each of Metallica’s previous albums was also performed. Fans can expect to see a bevy of hits such as “One”, “Master of Puppets”, “Nothing Else Matters”, and of course, “Enter Sandman” — which closed the evening (via Setlist.fm).
The “Live at Outside Lands” stream follows prior #MetallicaMondays concerts “Live in Copenhagen” (2009); “Live in Paris” (2017); and “Live From Slane Castle” (2019). The shows remain posted on Metallica’s YouTube and Facebook channels for one week, until the next one is uploaded.

To help fans pass the time, they are introducing #MetallicaMondays on their YouTube and Facebook page every Monday night at 8 PM EST. Each Monday, they will post a set in its entirety. It is a neat idea, and this week the boys present their show from way back in 1991 near the beginning of The Black Album Tour in 1991. The show was in Muskegon, Michigan, from November 1st, 1991. I would not expect the same picture and audio quality we are used to with these shows the last few weeks, but looking at the setlist, it is hard to argue that it won't be a great show. Metallica have surprised fans with a new version of their song "Blackened" recorded from the comfort of their homes.
The clip with the stripped down version of the classic track surfaced on the band's YouTube page with the message, "Here’s a little something we cooked up over the last few days. Hope you’re all safe & sound. Have a great weekend."
You can check out the performance of "Blackened," which comes from the band's 1988 album ...And Justice for All, as well as the original below.
Earlier this week during a Twitter chat with Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff, Metallica's drummer Lars Ulrich discussed the possibility of the band writing a new album while in quarantine.

Metallica: Live at House of Vans (London, England - November 18, 2016) Fundraiser
Metallica’s legendary frontman James Hetfield appeared in the latest music video of ‘Metallica: Blackened 2020’ and sang a song with the band after the rehab while revealing his newest style.
James entered rehab in September 2019 due to his alcohol problems and sang in public for the first time at Beverly Hills, California, in February 2020. Also, Metallica postponed the 2019-2020 tours because of the rehab sessions of James.
Additionally, Lars Ulrich spoke in a recent interview with Salesforce a few days ago and revealed that the band members were meeting online and discussing to make a ‘Metallica Quarantine Record.’
