The 'Vulgar Display Of Power' parody design and "Walk" lyrics were the perfect fit for fans and raised significant funds toward helping music people impacted by the coronavirus crisis Pantera's quintessential power metal album Vulger Display Of Power propelled the band into a new echelon of heavy when it dropped back in 1992. Now, over 28 years later, a redesign of it's iconic cover artwork has made another huge impact, this time raising approximately $100,000 for the MusiCares COVID-19 Releif Fund to help those in the music community affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. http://instagram.com/p/B_8DnAMh-kZ The t-shirt features the album's classic visual of a punch captured at the exact instant of contact reimagined with personal protective equipment, including a mask and a glove, captioned by the appropos "Walk" lyrics: "Be yourself/ By yourself/ Stay away from me." The band generously pledged 40 percent of the net proceeds generated from the sale of the t-shirts to MusiCares while helping to promote social distancing. Established by the Recording Academy and MusiCares, the COVID-19 Releif Fund to help music creators and professionals affected by the Coronavirus crisis. Thanks to support from various artists, organizations and charites, the fund has raised over $10 million so far, but much more is needed.
