Katy Perry might have been laying in a bed of "Daisies" for her virtual performance during Procter & Gamble and iHeartMedia's "Can’t Cancel Pride: A COVID-19 Relief Benefit for the LGBTQ+ Community" last night (June 25), but some of her previous hits also sprung up.
Sporting a fresh rainbow manicure, Perry touched up her freshest single "Daisies" from her upcoming fifth album with a deep house edition that worked with her neon outfits to electrify the performance. But she rewound through and remixed a few old hits from her catalog for the ultimate Pride dance party, including "I Kissed A Girl," "Peacock," "Walking On Air" and "Swish Swish."
"Lots of things are being cancelled (rightfully so, trust!) but you #CANTCANCELPRIDE and not only that but you can't cancel dance remixes with some of ya fav songs okur," she wrote on Instagram yesterday.

Katy Perry Finds Out She Could Be Taylor Swift's Cousin | Interview | Capital
To celebrate the release of her new single 'Smile', Katy Perry joined Roman Kemp, Sian Welby and Sonny Jay on Capital Breakfast.
Katy Perry got quite the genealogical surprise when she called into the U.K.'s Capital FM on Friday (July 10).
During the chat, host Sian Welby presented a well-researched fan theory to the pop star: that she could be ninth cousins with none other than Taylor Swift. "Well, we fight like cousins," Perry quipped at first -- referencing the pair's famous "Bad Blood"-era feud -- before incredulously joking that the theory was nothing more than "fan fic."
However, the singer was stunned to discover Welby and her fellow hosts were being dead serious about the connection to her fellow superstar, which one fan apparently put together on the family history platform My Heritage. "Wow, I'm gonna have to ask her if this true, or if we should, like, get blood tests together...It's cool because you can just, like, spit in a tube." Perry said while wearing a bright yellow hoodie from her brand-new "Smile" merch line.

Singer Katy Perry has addressed a rumour that she is related to fellow singer Taylor Swift. She has joked that they fight like cousins.
During an interview on a show, the mention came up how it has been reported on MyHeritage.com that she and Swift were ninth cousins, reports etonline.com.
Katy Perry called the rumour “fan fic”, and joked: “Well, we fight like cousins.”
The pop star was, however, open to exploring whether she is actually related to Taylor Swift. “Wow, I’m going to have to ask her if this is true or if we should, like, get blood tests together or something,” Katy Perry quipped.
In June last year, Swift had talked about working things out with Perry after a long feud. “Something felt so much lighter about my life when things became really good between us,” she said.
“And, you know, she and I have been fine for a while and, like, really on good terms but we didn’t know if we were ever really gonna tell people about it. We wanted to make sure that was solid between us before we ever made, you know, the public aware,” she added.
Well, now all we want is a new collaboration between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift soon!

Katy Perry has officially found her "Smile," and now her army of Katy Cats can find theirs too thanks to a fun new social media filter. "Now it’s your turn to clown around...Use my IG lens and show me ur #SMILE," the pop star captioned an Instagram video on Sunday (July 12) showing off the filter, which gives users a red clown nose akin to the one Perry wears in the cover art for her upcoming album. In the clip, the American Idol judge bops around wearing a yellow hoodie from her latest line of "Smile"-themed merch, pulling silly faces as the track's ebullient chorus plays in the background. http://instagram.com/p/CCjZG4tnjzr Last week, Perry also used Instagram to unveil the circus-ready Smile cover, inviting fans to play a classic midway game involving popping virtual balloons. In the artwork, the singer portrays a glum-looking clown, wearing a bold checkered suit with giant sleeves as she cradles her head above the album's title. Preceded by lead single "Daisies," Smile is set to be released Aug. 14 via Capitol Records. The album will also include Perry's 2019 singles "Never Really Over" and "Harleys in Hawaii," as well as yet-unheard tracks "Teary Eyes" and "What Makes a Woman."

Katy Perry is revealing new details about why she and Taylor Swift finally decided to bury the hatchet.
In a candid interview on the Howard Stern Show Tuesday, Perry explained that she and Swift wanted to put publically their differences aside and set "an example" for their younger fans.
“Gossip in life can take the elevator but the truth takes the stairs. It just takes time,” Perry said, noting that their feud was largely overblown by the media at the time.
"What I’m so grateful for is we did get to make up publicly and got to be an example of redemption for young girls,” she told Stern.
Perry — who is expecting her first child with Orlando Bloom next month — shared that she and Swift are now "super friendly."
"I always wanted the best for her and now we can talk about the best we want for each other," she admitted.
After having a years-long complicated relationship that seemingly inspired Swift's hit song, “Bad Blood,” and Perry's “Swish Swish,” the pair reunited in Swift’s “You Need to Calm Down” music video last June while wearing a matching set burger and french fry costume.
Last year, Perry mirrored similar sentiments about her relationship with Swift during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
“It was actually just a misunderstanding but we have such big groups of people that like to follow us, and so they kind of started turning against each other a little bit too,” the singer explained at the time.
