Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova were some of the athletes in attendance at the hottest Hollywood event of the year, the Vanity Fair Oscars Party. Sharapova is a veteran of the glamorous red carpet, having graced it a number of times. It took place at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, following the 91st Academy Awards on Sunday night.

Russian women Maria Sharapova and Alina Zagitova are included in the list of the 25 most popular athletes in the world according to ESPN, the channel’s website reports.
The five-time winner of the Grand Slam tennis tournaments Sharapova won second place in this ranking. The first was the American tennis player Serena Williams. Olympic champion in figure skating Zagitova closed the rating, taking 25th place.
