As far as multihyphenate celebrities go, Maria Sharapova definitely doesn’t follow the typical actress-singer-songwriter formula. In terms of accomplishments, this tennis pro, candy mogul, and Supergoop skin-care line co-owner (did I mention she’s only 27?) is an entrepreneurial machine. And she manages to do it all while looking totally put-together and polished. I caught up with Sharapova to talk hair, skin, and fitness. Sharapova is currently ranked No.2 in the world behind Serena Williams, but that doesn't mean she's any less likely to gain back that position and look (really) good doing it. Speaking of looking good, we can say that about both her and the Turbo S in this spot and we're even feeling what she's saying about being motivated to succeed. It goes for both professional athletes as well as the automotive industry - where Porsche is always giving their all and setting benchmark after benchmark in various segments. What’s the best beauty tip you’ve learned? “Adir [Abergel] has taught me so much about how to care for and maintain a hairstyle. Moisturization is key [Sharapova uses Drybar Mudslide Nourishing Hair Mask], and it’s really important to apply a protective shield, like Fekkai Blowout Primer, before heat.” What beauty products can you not live without? “Homeoplasmine from French pharmacies for scrapes or burns; Avon Luck fragrance, which I pour into a small travel bottle; Fresh Rose Face Mask for a treatment after a long flight; Supergoop City Sunscreen Serum SPF 30, because it has such a silky, weightless texture; and Supergoop Forever Young Hand Cream SPF 40—so many people neglect their hands! I keep it in my bag at all times.” How did you become involved with Supergoop? “Sunscreen is such a huge part of my daily routine. I stumbled upon Supergoop at Sephora and fell in love with the formulas. Then I was fortunate enough to meet Holly [Thaggard], the founder, and we hit it off right away. Working with the company felt like a natural next step.” Who is your style icon? “Audrey Hepburn. I really like classic beauties who handle sophistication with ease.” What are your favorite go-to fashion items? “Right now, I’m coveting wide-leg cropped trousers by Stella McCartney, cashmere sweaters from The Row, and vintage earrings from Broken English.” How do you stay in shape off the court? “I love working my core. I do a combination of mat exercises and work on the Bosu ball. I’ve also tried classes with Tracy Anderson, which is a great workout!” What’s your match-day beauty routine? “I always throw my hair back in a sleek, secure ponytail. I don’t wear any makeup while playing, because I can’t worry about it getting into my eyes or being a distraction. I learned early on that beauty should never interrupt focus on the court.”

Following her loss to Serena Williams in the Australian Open final, Maria Sharapova is gearing up for her first appearance at the Mexican Open. Sharapova, who lost in straight sets to Williams at the Melbourne finale in January, arrived in Mexico on Friday and is being widely tipped to claim the title at the Acapulco tournament. World No 2 Sharapova will look to put her disappointment in Australia to one side after losing to Williams for the 16th time in a row. The Russian is top seed for the tournament and is the only top-10 player in in the draw. Sara Errani, who claimed the Mexico Open title in 2012 and 2013, looks the most likely to halt the progress of Sharapova following her impressive performances at the Rio Open in Brazil. The other seeds in action at the tournament are Caroline Garcia, Irina-Camelia Begu, Timea Bacsinszky, Roberta Vinci, Sloane Stephens and Madison Brengle. The WTA International event kicks off on Monday.

Top-seeded Maria Sharapova of Russia withdrew Friday before her Mexico Open semifinal against Caroline Garcia of France because of a stomach virus. The third-seeded Garcia will face fifth-seeded Timea Bacsinszky of Switzerland in the hard-court final at The Fairmont Acapulco Princess. Bacsinszky beat Bulgaria's Sesil Karatantcheva 6-2, 6-4. In the men's semifinals, top-seeded Kei Nishikori of Japan beat fourth-seeded Kevin Anderson of South Africa 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, and second-seeded David Ferrer of Spain topped Ryan Harrison of the United States 4-6, 6-0, 6-0. Third seed Garcia will now face Timea Bacsinszky in the hard-court final at the Fairmont Acapulco Princess. Bacsinszky beat Bulgaria's Sesil Karatantcheva 6-2 6-4. "I'm really sorry to have to withdraw," Sharapova told her official website. "I had a great start to the event and was hoping I could recover but there was not enough time."

Maria Sharapova has teamed up with cosmetics company Avon for “Speak Out Against Domestic Violence” campaign. Avon recently released a video of the Russian tennis superstar reaching out in an effort to end physical abuse in a relationship and violence on women, men, children, and the community altogether. A quick glance at the statistics tells that one in three women and one in seven men fall victims to intimate partner abuse or violence, Sharapova explained in the video. The “Speak Out Against Domestic Violence” campaign aims to provide awareness as well as put a stop to the serious social dilemma by creating service programs that allow victims to share about their experiences. “Doing nothing is not an option,” Sharapova said. “These new ‘Speak Out’ programs from The Avon Foundation provide important tools to help us safely and effectively intervene and they offer simple actions we can all take to respond to this epidemic.” Avon initially launched the campaign in 2004. Since its inception, they were able to raise $58 million to support the cause. They had funded various outstanding nonprofit organisations including the Global Believe Fund to increase the public understanding about violence. Sharapova, who is set to celebrate her 28th birthday in April, began her partnership with Avon in June 2014. The second-ranked tennis star was signed by the global brand as one of the newest product endorsers. Sharapova became the face of Avon’s new scent “Luck,” shortly after winning her second Roland Garros crown. Sharapova was featured in commercials and other print ads of the new Avon scent. Sharapova last played at the 2015 Abierto Mexicano Telcel tournament. She reached the semifinals of the event but was forced to pull out due to stomach flu. Next up for Sharapova is the Women’s Tennis Association premier tournament BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells. She leads the women’s side and joined by Serena Williams, who received a wildcard entry, defending champion Flavia Plennetta, Caroline Wozniacki, Victoria Azarenka, Eugenie Bouchard, Simona Halep, and Ana Ivanovic. Sharapova is a former two-time BNP Paribas Open champion, having had won the event in 2006 and 2013.

The first thing we do when we see a gorgeous blonde posing in her upmost glory next to one of our favorites luxury SUVs is... well, stare at it. A couple of moments later, however, we start questioning it, since we’ve been spending enough time on the autoevolution “planet” to know different, this is not just a Kardashian-type of selfie, this means something. Before we add anything more, we need to take a step back and remember our own experience with the Porsche Cayenne GTS, back in 2013. The test is still quite relevant, since the facelift the model’s second generation received in 2014 implies minor changes to its exterior. We found it as the rightful gap-filler slotted in between the naturally aspirated Cayenne S and the Turbo model. Porsche ads emotion to what is after all the most powerful non-turbo member of the Cayenne family. Like most of the petrolheads that admire the turbo look of a car, we too enjoyed the front apron, hood, front and rear lights and even the lack of air intakes. Then there are the specifics, things such as the dark tailgate and new exhaust tip ornaments. Inside, the SUV’s cabin does offer a few special touches, all of which aim to bring a sporty appearance. The story could be a lot longer, but we might have overwhelmed ourselves here a little so it’s time to stop. Let us get back to the gorgeous Russian blonde, who by the way loves tennis so much she’s willing to delay having children until “I’m no longer playing and I can really dedicate time.” The holder of 34 titles including five Grand Slams, Sharapova said she is quite happy with investing everything she has in the sport that made her famous. "In between practices, I'm testing out some Porsche SUV's, thinking it might be my new investment. Tried to take a picture in the air but the 'photographer' got me on the way down...aiii!" Sharapova quoted next to the picture she put on her Facebook account. So, we were saying that nothing is random, especially when it comes to a 27-year old tennis champion that is also one of Porsche’s biggest brand ambassadors. Did the Cayenne GTS need any help to sell even better than it’s already? We don’t think so, but the Germans still had Sharapova promoting it online.
