She recently wowed her fans with a rendition of I Won't Say I Am In Love from Hercules as part of ABC's Disney Family Singalong.
And Ariana Grande, 26, took to the microphone once more on Saturday as she set about recording a new song in lockdown.
The popstar was in good company as she was also joined by her pet pig Piggy Smallz and some of her nine dogs.
She also shared images of some of her numerous pets, including her adorable pig, whom she and her now ex-fiancé, Pete Davidson adopted in 2018.
In addition, she uploaded pictures of her beloved pooches, including her late ex Mac Miller's dog Myron, as they posed around her home and amongst her recording equipment in her studio.
On Monday, the Grammy Award-winning singer — whose career began as a teenager on Broadway — participated in Jason Brown's virtual SubCulture Artist-in-Residency concert, belting out a rendition of the emotional ballad "Still Hurting" from Brown's The Last Five Years.
Along with Grande, 26, Brown and singer Shoshana Bean also performed during the virtual concert.
Fans were able to watch the show for free and were encouraged to donate to SubCulture staff and musicians amid the Broadway shutdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"That was so beautiful @mrjasonrbrown," Grande wrote on Twitter after the show. "I loved every minute so much ! thank u and @subculture_NYC for having me and for doing this. everyone played and sang so beautifully. love u."
The "Side to Side" singer added, "U both sounded f—ing phenomenal @shoshanabean @mrjasonrbrown. I’m still recovering from everything i just watched. thank u for existing and for being human masterclasses in musicality and technique."
Something is coming on Friday (May 1) from Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.
Bieber took to Twitter to reveal that a "special announcement" will be arriving at 10 a.m. PST. Grande quickly added fuel to the excitement when she retweeted the post, and added, "see u there everybody."
Then, to top it all off, the duo's manager Scooter Braun tagged both of them in a tweet that was a simple eyes emoji.
Not only does the month of May celebrate Mental Health Awareness but it’s also the time Star Wars fans honor the epic space-opera. Ariana Grande has a huge interest in space exploration and is even a long-time fan of Star Wars.
Grande proved just how much of a die-hard fan she is by starring in Who Shot First? Parody back in 2015 that referenced the late 1977 controversial film change titled Han Shot First. Grande not only settled the debate of the century, but she released the parody in celebration of the 2015 Stars Wars: The Force Awakens. That same year, Grande released the music video for the hit song Break Free which took place on another planet!
In addition to honoring May 4th, the Thank U, Next singer also showed off some new tattoos. She took to Instagram yesterday to show off two black and white tattoos of butterflies.
While some have believed the singer recently had the inklings done, other fans recall seeing the tattoos back during her Grammy appearance in January. In a few photos taken from the event, the outline of a butterfly can be seen on Grande’s arm. Her most recent Instagram pics, however, show the finished product.
Ariana Grande’s first single was a genre crossover To understand Grande’s first single, one must first understand her early career. Grande first gained national prominence through her role on the Nickelodeon show Victorious. Like all Nickelodeon shows, Victorious was aimed at a younger demographic. It appears Grande’s team wanted her first single to appeal to kids as well.
Grande’s first single was the 2011 song “Put Your Hearts Up.” It’s a bubblegum pop song about self-empowerment. HuffPo quotes Grande saying “It’s a song that I hope inspires people to put their hearts up and that even the smallest acts of kindness can make the world a better place.”
Oddly enough, it’s built around a sample of the divisive 1990s alternative rock hit “What’s Up” by 4 Non Blondes. What a bizarre amalgamation of genres! The 4 Non Blondes sample in “Put Your Hearts Up” makes more sense when you learn the track was co-written by Linda Perry, a former member of 4 Non Blondes.
Why Ariana Grande didn’t like the track
“Put Your Hearts Up” by Ariana Grande Grande doesn’t like to talk about “Put Your Hearts Up.” However, she has given fans some insight into its origin. Grande feels the track reflected Cat, her character on Victorious, more than it reflected herself. Despite this, she was willing to release the song because she “couldn’t wait” to begin her musical career. In hindsight, Grande wishes she could erase the song from her discography.
According to Rolling Stone, Grande went so far as to say the track was the nadir of her existence. “It was geared toward kids and felt so inauthentic and fake. That was the worst moment of my life. For the video, they gave me a bad spray tan and put me in a princess dress and had me frolic around the street. The whole thing was straight out of hell. I still have nightmares about it, and I made them hide it on my Vevo page.”
