Remember how Ariana Grande was added to the voice cast of “Underdogs” last fall? You know, that English re-dubbing of a computer-animated Argentine movie called “Metegol”? The one about foosball?
The first official trailer for the American version was released on Friday (January 16). Check it out below, and see what kind of waaaaaacky computer-animated adventures the “Love Me Harder” singer and co-stars Matthew Morrison, Nicholas Hoult and Katie Holmes get up to.
Via The Hollywood Reporter, “Underdogs”: “centers on a shy but talented foosball player (Morrison) who must defend his town and the girl he loves, Laura (Grande), from [the] nefarious soccer player Ace (Hoult).”
Ariana Grande might only be 5' tall, but she's set to dominate on the hardwood at the NBA All-Star game this year. The pint-sized diva will perform the halftime show at New York's Madison Square Garden on Feb. 15, the NBA confirmed Thursday. While the All-Star game itself will be held at the Garden on Sunday, the rest of the weekend festivities – like the dunk contest and 3-point shootout – will take place at Barclay's Center in Brooklyn on Saturday.
Grande's already off to an epic 2015, earning two Grammy Awards nominations for Best Pop Vocal Album for My Everything and Best Collaboration for "Bang Bang" with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj. She also snagged a guest-starring role alongside the likes of Lea Michele and Joe Manganiello on the new FOX drama Scream Queens. The NBA All-Star 2015 Entertainment Series presented by JBL airs live on Sunday, Feb. 15, at 8 p.m. ET on TNT.
Victoria Justice and Ariana Grande were on the Nickelodeon show Victorious together from 2010 to 2013, so when it ended -- as both their music careers took off -- rumors started that the two were feuding.
"I would love to set the record straight because I feel these rumors have been going on for way too long," Justice said on The Meredith Viera Show this week. "Basically, there was an article in Seventeen magazine where [Ariana] had said that she was bullied on set, and the magazine basically alluded to it being me. Once the article came out she texted me privately, and she was like, 'Oh my gosh, I am so sorry. You know how the media twists words. I was not talking about you obviously, I was talking about someone on Broadway I had worked with.' But once it got out there everyone thought that I was this bully and that I was mean to her, which couldn't be further from the truth."
Sharing that the rumors were really "unfair," Justice concluded, "Hopefully, now she's talked about it, I've talked about it, there is no feud. We can put this behind us now and we can practice what Frozen preaches, my friends, and let it go. Let's let it go!"
Hozier is unexpectedly a fan of Ariana Grande's "Problem". The Irish rocker proved it when he recently played a cover of the pop/R&B hit, turning it into a classic rock number, during his visit to BBC Radio 1's "Live Lounge".
Hozier sang and played his guitar while joined by a band and some backing vocalists during the performance. The 24-year-old star, however, didn't even try to spit the verse rapped by Iggy Azalea on the original. Instead, he replaced the bars with some lines from Warren G's "Regulate".
During his stop to "Live Lounge", Hozier also performed his own smashing hit single "Take Me to Church". The song, lifted off the singer's 2014 self-titled album, reached No. 2 on Billboard Hot 100 and is currently nominated for Song of the Year at the upcoming Grammy Awards.
For the first time ever, Ariana performed her single ‘One Last Time’ for the ‘The Tonight Show’ crowd on Jimmy Fallon’s post-Super Bowl special. Ariana Grande, 21, is the gift that keeps on giving! The starlet’s first performance of her single “One Last Time” was absolutely beautiful. Ariana took the stage at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Feb. 1 and stole the show!
Ariana’s voice is just a gem. The “Break Free” flaunted her amazing (and downright incredible) vocals for her “One Last Time” performance. The song is off of her My Everything album, but Jimmy Fallon’s Feb. 1 special was the first time she’d hit the stage with it! “One Last Time” is a slow jam, and it’s impossible not to sway along to the beat. You could feel the emotion in Ariana’s voice. That’s how good she is. The Tonight Show’s band, The Roots, served as backup. Ariana looked hot in a corset top and pants.
Ariana has been teasing the music video for “One Last Time” for awhile now. She tweeted on Jan. 24 that the video was “coming along.” We can’t wait to see the whole thing!
