Beyoncé, Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa lead the nominations for the 2021 Grammy Awards.
Beyoncé leads the field, with nine nominations overall, including four for Black Parade, a protest anthem released at the height of the Black Lives Matter protests this summer.
Swift, with six nods, could win album of the year for a record-breaking third time with her lockdown album Folklore.
Dua Lipa also picked up six nominations for the disco-tinged Future Nostalgia.
The British star, who was named best new artist by the Grammys two years ago, was also on hand to read out some of the nominees - including best children's album and best historical album - in an online livestream.
Rapper Roddy Ricch tied with Swift and Lipa on six nominations, the majority of which recognised his hit single The Box, which spent 11 weeks at number one earlier this year.
However, there was disappointment for R&B star The Weeknd, who was completely shut out, despite having the biggest-selling album of 2020 in the US with After Hours.
The star, who is due to perform at the Super Bowl half-time show in February, had been expected to dominate the main categories, after picking up multiple awards at both the MTV VMAs and American Music Awards this year.
There was better news for Billie Eilish, who picked up multiple nominations for her single Everything I Wanted, as well as her Bond theme No Time To Die.
The 18-year-old made history earlier this year by becoming the first female artist to win all four of the Grammys main categories - best new artist, song of the year, record of the year and best album.

Stand down, Army. The Recording Academy's snubbing of BTS has come to an end, as the boy band has received their first proper GRAMMY nomination, making history all over again as they become the first K-pop group to break into a major GRAMMYs category.
Nominations for the 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards were unveiled on Tuesday, with BTS being recognized in Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their English-language single, "Dynamite."
The group's official Twitter account shared a video of some of the members reacting to their nomination. In the clip, V, Jungkook, RM and Jimin are seen eagerly watching Megan Thee Stallion read the pop category nominations before breaking into celebration when their name appears onscreen.
BTS began chipping away at the GRAMMYs' K-pop glass ceiling in 2019, when their album Love Yourself: Tear was nominated for Best Recording Package. (Had it won, the award would have gone to art director HuskyFox.) The same year, they marked another milestone when the boys became the first K-pop group to present at the GRAMMY Awards.
Yet the following year, no K-Pop acts were nominated in any field. (BTS did make an appearance at the ceremony to perform "Old Town Road" alongside nominee Lil Nas X.)

Half of the acts on the show, including Bad Bunny, Megan Thee Stallion & Harry Styles, will be making their Grammy telecast performance debuts. The Grammys, like most awards shows, usually trickle out performer announcements, but the Recording Academy decided this year to announce them in one fell swoop. Artists set to perform on the 63rd annual Grammy Awards on March 14 include Dua Lipa, Roddy Ricch and Taylor Swift, who were among the year's top nominees, with six nods each. So far, the year's top nominee with nine nods, Beyoncé, is not slated to perform. Other performers set for Music's Biggest Night are Bad Bunny, Black Pumas, Cardi B, BTS, Brandi Carlile, DaBaby, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Mickey Guyton, Haim, Brittany Howard, Miranda Lambert, Lil Baby, Chris Martin, John Mayer, Megan Thee Stallion, Maren Morris, Post Malone and Harry Styles. Hosted by Trevor Noah, the show will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center and its surroundings. All performances will emanate from there, though the Grammys will make use of other venues for the reading of nominations and announcement of winners in various categories. This will be Swift's seventh performance on the Grammy telecast and her first in five years. She is widely expected to win album of the year for the third time with her hit album Folklore. This will be the sixth performance for both Martin (counting Coldplay) and Mayer; the fifth for Lambert; the third for Cardi B and Morris; and the second for Carlile, Eilish, Howard, Lipa and Post Malone. Half of the acts on the show will be making their Grammy telecast performance debuts -- a milestone event in an artist's career. The first-timers are Bad Bunny, Black Pumas, BTS, DaBaby, Doja Cat, Guyton, Haim, Lil Baby, Megan Thee Stallion, Ricch and Styles.

Taylor Swift seems a clear front-runner for album of the year, as is Meghan Thee Stallion for best new artist. Record and song of the year are tougher calls.
With the 63rd annual Grammy Awards less than a week away, it’s time for our fearless predictions in the Big Four categories: album, record and song of the year plus best new artist.
In three of the last four years, one artist has swept album, record and song of the year. Adeleaccomplished the feat four years ago, as did Bruno Mars three years ago and Billie Eilish last year. Dua Lipa andPost Malone are both nominated in all three categories this year, but it doesn’t seem like either has the firepower to pull off this sweep.
Taylor Swift seems a clear front-runner for album of the year, as is Meghan Thee Stallion for best new artist. Record and song of the year are tougher calls.
Album of the Year
Nominees: Jhené Aiko’s Chilombo, Black Pumas’ Black Pumas (Deluxe Edition), Coldplay’s Everyday Life, Jacob Collier’s Djesse, Vol. 3, Haim’s Women in Music Pt. III, Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia, Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding, Taylor Swift’s Folklore
Only three of these albums are nominated for best album in their genre categories: Future Nostalgia and Folklore are finalists for best pop vocal album, and Chilombo is vying for best progressive R&B album. This doesn’t mean the other five albums don’t have a shot of winning here, but not being nominated for best album in your home genre certainly isn’t a good sign.
This is the third year that the Grammys have had eight nominees in each of the Big Four categories. With so many nominees, it helps to cut the list down to a more manageable size. I’d say the four artists with the best chance of winning here are Haim, Lipa, Post Malone and Swift.
Haim is vying to become the second all-female group to win, following The Chicks, who won 14 years ago.

Olivia Rodrigo has been at the top of the charts with “drivers license,” but it didn’t get a Grammy nomination. Rodrigo’s song has taken over, with singers like Taylor Swift and Niall Horan coming out to support the Disney+ star. Ahead of the Grammy Awards on March 14, some fans might be wondering why the song was seemingly snubbed. Rodrigo’s “drivers license” has been at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for eight weeks. Rodrigo has been vocal about her shock at the song’s instant success. It was her first single that wasn’t affiliated with her Disney+ show. “I’ve always loved the song, it really captures the emotions of heartbreak — all the angst, sadness and insecurity that goes along with a breakup,” Rodrigo told British Vogue in an interview. “I’ve always felt great about it, but I definitely didn’t expect it to chart like it has and break all of these records. It’s surreal.” She also opened up about the songwriting process in the interview. “I’d just got my license, so I was relishing my freedom,” Rodrigo continued. “When I got home, I sat down at the piano — and I love songs that feel like a diary entry and are confessional — so I took some lyrics from my diary and went from there. I wrote the first two verses and the chorus, then my producer and I wrote the bridge together, which is my favourite part of the song. It was a painless process.” People she looks up to, like Swift and Horan, have given her gifts following the song’s success. Swift sent Rodrigo a private package that contained a ring. And Horan sent a metaphorical gift through advice to the younger singer. Rodrigo’s song has been so immersed into pop culture that it was even parodied on Saturday Night Live. The parody happened on Rodrigo’s 18th birthday, too. While “drivers license” has been sweeping the world with its emotional lyrics and heart-wrenching bridge, the song didn’t get a Grammy Award nomination on Nov. 24, 2020. People watching the Grammy Awards might be surprised that Rodrigo isn’t being recognized. However, Rodrigo not getting a nomination for “drivers license” makes sense. She released her song “drivers license” in January 2021. The nominee announcement came months before that. It wasn’t possible for Rodrigo to be nominated for a Grammy Award for “drivers license.”
