http://instagram.com/p/CJd5bDQjR7Q 2020 may have been the year that Taylor Swift came back sronger than a '90s trend, but I don't exactly remember rocking a life-sized bear costume with my jelly bracelets and butterfly clips. To ring in the new year and say farewell to 2020 once and for all, Taylor shared a photo of herself wearing a faux bear coat on Instagram. Yes, including the mouth, eyes, and nose. "Bye 2020, it's been weird," she captioned the post, which, while somewhat unsettling, also sort of makes a lot of sense. Through the good and the bad, the "Well, this might as well happen" meme seemed to be applicable all year round, and this photo fits right in as weird, wonderful, and very 2020. As much as we appreciate (and deeply understand) the sentiment, Taylor, we can't help but ask a few questions about this particular photo: Long story short, we love this look but where did she get it? Also, why the heck was she wearing it in the first place? So, is that a coat or, dare I say, a cardigan?! Wait, is this a hint about her mysterious Woodvale album? BRB, scoping out clues! Is she wearing matching pants? And slippers? Can we expect a new music video with Taylor in this fantastic costume? Is this the new look of 2021? Should we all be wearing bear costumes right now? We love this look but why doesn't it come with paws?! Is or isn't this a hint at a new song? New album? New aesthetic? We can't bear to wonder any longer, Taylor! Yeah, 2020 might have felt unbearable at times, but this photo was definitely a nice way to send off the year. Thanks, Taylor — it's been weird!

She extends her record for the most weeks spent at No. 1.
Taylor Swift furthers her record run atop the Billboard Artist 100 chart, as she tallies her 44th week at the top musical act in the U.S. (on the ranking dated Jan. 9).
Swift reigns as her LPs Evermore and Folklore place at Nos. 2 and 6, respectively, on the Billboard 200. The former, which spent the previous two weeks at No. 1, earned 71,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Dec. 31, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. The latter, which ruled for eight weeks beginning in August, earned 35,000 units in the tracking week.
Evermore lead single “Willow” concurrently ranks at No. 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 4 on Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, after debuting at No. 1 on both charts three weeks ago. Plus, “No Body, No Crime,” featuring Haim, places at No. 30 on the Hot Country Songs chart, after launching at No. 2, and is now being promoted to country radio. “Willow,” being promoted to pop and adult formats, rises 16-14 on the Adult Pop Songs airplay chart and 27-24 on Pop Songs and debuts at No. 19 on Adult Contemporary (as the AC format segues back from holiday-heavy programming).
Swift has tallied the most weeks at No. 1 on the Artist 100 dating to the chart’s 2014 launch. Drake ranks second with 31 weeks on top, followed by The Weeknd (20) and BTS and Ariana Grande (15 each).

Taylor Swift’s Evermore skips back to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart (dated Jan. 16) for a third nonconsecutive week, up from No. 2 a week ago. The album earned 56,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending Jan. 7 (down 22%), according to MRC Data. The album, now in its fourth week on the chart, spent its first two weeks atop the list (charts dated Dec. 26, 2020, and Jan. 2, 2021), before stepping aside to No. 2 for a week (Jan. 9 chart) when Playboi Carti’s Whole Lotta Red bowed at No. 1. With Evermore’s third week in the lead, Swift now has a cumulative 51 weeks at No. 1 across all eight of her chart-topping albums. That ties Michael Jackson for the fourth-most weeks at No. 1 in the chart’s 65-year history. The two superstars only trail The Beatles (a record 132 weeks), Elvis Presley (67) and Garth Brooks (52).

Taylor Swift reclaims the crown as Evermore (EMI) returns to No. on the U.K. albums chart.
Following its surprise release last December, Swift’s lockdown LP bowed at No. 1 on the U.K. survey, and is her sixth title to hit the top.
Evermore climbs 2-1 on the current frame, and should continue to fly high on the Official U.K. Albums Chart following the digital release a deluxe edition with two new songs, "Right Where You Left Me" and "It’s Time To Go."

Swift is following the same radio rollout with 'Evermore' that she did with 'Folklore.' "I think I've seen this film before," Taylor Swift sings in her Folklore track "Exile."
The observation holds true for her radio rollout for follow-up album Evermore.
Folklore, released on Republic Records last July, generated three radio hits, each promoted to different groups of formats: Lead pop/adult single "Cardigan" hit No. 8 on Adult Pop Airplay, No. 12 on Adult Contemporary and No. 17 on Pop Airplay; "Exile," featuring Bon Iver, rose to No. 9 on Adult Alternative Airplay; and "Betty" reached No. 32 on Country Airplay.
Evermore, released on Republic in December, has followed the same pattern, with two of its tracks making their debuts on this week's airplay charts (dated Jan. 30). Pop/adult-focused "Willow" bullets at its No. 12 highs on Adult Pop Airplay and AC and No. 21 on Pop Airplay; "Coney Island," featuring The National, arrives at No. 30 on Adult Alternative Airplay; and "No Body, No Crime," featuring Haim, starts at No. 60 on Country Airplay. (MCA Nashville has taken on promotion of both "Betty" and "Crime" at country.)
While she has been a staple of pop and adult formats since her second single, "Teardrops on My Guitar," sparked her crossover from country after her debut hit, "Tim McGraw," in 2006, "Exile" brought Swift her first Adult Alternative Airplay chart activity. "Betty," meanwhile, marked her highest-charting hit on Country Airplay in a lead role since 2013, when "Red" became her 18th and most recent top 10.
